Surrey bikes and paddleboats?

My BFF and I will be taking a trip to WDW and staying at SSR and AKV (the latter is a surprise -- shh, don't tell). We're only going to be in the parks one day, so we'll be able to do other fun things on property for a day and a half. The first night we're there, we're eating at Spoodles, so I was thinking about renting a surrey and toodling around the Boardwalk before Illuminations.

The other day, I think we may go over to OKW and rent a little paddleboat, then go explore the monorail resorts.

Have you ever done the surries or paddleboats? Fun? Is there anything I should know? I'm having trouble finding current pricing too...
