Surrey Bike Rentals

I was wondering if anyone has done a Surrey Bike Rental before. We had seen some families doing this on the Boardwalk on a past trip. My sister wants the bridal party to rent one when we get down there. I was interested in how many people can be on one of these. Is it fun or hard. What is the cost and are there age restrictions? Also, is the Boardwalk the only place to do this?
I appreciate any info I can get, you are all so great with info!

We used them in Apr. Lots of fun. There are several sizes. We used the 2 person one.Ours was $18. and not too hard. You can go around 3 times in Half an hour. There are also some at WL. I can't remember if they had them at PO.

they have the at the pol and at port orl as well. not 2 hard but you can not go off the set path and back to your room area if you are staying at one of these hotels

Thank you for responding this info helps. I've tried looking, and haven't found much info about them. Does anyone know if they have one to accomodate 6? There will be 4 adults a teen and a child.

I believe they will only accomidate 4. They are fun.

I think that you can get one to fit 6, and 2 small children in the front, but I may be wrong. From what I can remember, there are 2 rows of 3, with two sets of pedals in each row so the person in the middle of each row can't pedal, then there is a little seat infront that fits 2 small kids. I'm not 100% sure if this is right, hopefully someone else will know. The surrey bikes are a lot of fun, but there is one hill at the boardwalk that is a challenge to get up!

2 Seat Surrey 30 minutes = $16.90 ($15.28 for DVC members)
4 Seat Surrey 30 minutes = $20.65 ($18.68 for DVC members)

I think a previous poster was correct---The 6 seat ones are for 2 small children up front and I do not think there are pedals for them.

Hope this helps! Sounds like fun with a whole group of people! The only place I've seen people struggle is on the "hills" around the BoardWalk!

We rented at BWV...I have to say this was some of the best fun...we laughed till we cried...there were 9 of us (2 were kids)...DO IT......
