I just head that the Surprise Morning will be ending very shortly at The Resorts, What is Next Disney??? No more Early Entry. No Pop-Century. I have even heard that Disney is thinking of selling it to whoever owns the Swan and Dolphin.

Guess I am really upset that there is not going to be anymore surprise morning's. Wish i knew this before I told my kids. Well what is a person to do? Guess Disney is just going through alot of changes. Hey going to get the Big Cheese on the phone, Time for me and him to have sit down!!!! If he is lucky, I will let him smell my wheel of cheese...... LOL

Hi! We saw tons of characters at MK and Epcot. Do your kids really care if the characters are at the parks instead of at the resort? Usually, you only get a few obscure ones at the resort, anyway...

I agree, I just came back from POFQ and seeing the characters in the lobby was a "ho-hum" experience. You could not even take a decent picture with the background. It does not make up for early entry.

EE has beeen gone for about 10 months. And unless you have $green$ cheese the big cheese is doing what he thinks best.

are you refering to the Character Caravan?? Surprise Mornings AKA Early Entry was cancelled back in Oct last year.

For goodness sake! I was thinking that the OP was calling the Character Caravan the Surprise Mornings! :o
Surprise!! It's way past morning, and I'm still not awake.

Disney needs to plow Pop Century under and start anew. That thing is hideous, (and this from a person who thinks the All-Stars are fun!) and it hurt to look at it. Yikes!

where did you here this was ending - and what exactly is Surprise Morning?

where did you here that Disney is thinking of selling it to whoever owns the Swan and Dolphin.

Pop-Century is delayed because of the economy - what is wrong with delaying a new project rather than losing tons of money on it?

What...the president's been shot?!

Sorry...couldn't resist a little Saturday Night Live humor...where they do a skit about people never forgetting where they were when they heard that JFk had been shot...in the skit, it was 20 years later and one of the people they interview jumps up in a panic and says, "What?! The president's been shot!?"

Surprise Mornings ended almost a year ago....sigh.

Hope there's another old SNL fan who appreciated the joke...

I was there this past June and did not see one character in the parks. I don't have a little kid so that didn't much matter but if I paid all that money and I had little cherubs I would of been pretty mad :( not to get to see my kids faces light up when they did see characters. Oh, I did get to see queen of hearts when I was walking through the lobby to go out for breakfast. :D

We visited earlier this year, and our little grandchild saw plenty of characters and had the chance to pose for pictures and get autographs with quite a few.

In fact, I thought I hadn't ever seen quite so many about.

There are more characters now that ever before. Even in Epcot where they have the character caravan you can still find all the characters that you used to find in the World Showcase in the exact same spots! If you can't find characters you aren't looking because you can easily have photos with 20-30 different characters in each park every day.

I still think Pop Century is better than the all-stars.

Maybe during peak season there's more characters at the parks. We were there during value season and I think only saw characters 2 days, one at MK and one at Epcot. :(

We visited in early February, and I don't think that is considered peak, and we really did see a ton of characters and had great character interaction. I saw some I've not really seen before, posing with the kids etc. Again, I had not seen that many out and about in some time.

I think that just about every "land" so to speak we walked through in all the parks, we were met with characters.

I've been around consistently all year, and there are no fewer characters in the parks now than there ever have been. It is possible to walk around all day and not see a single one, but that is just timing...

"This just in .... Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead."

I know this is getting off the topic of this thread, but, I agree with an earlier post that EPCOT is one of the best parks to catch characters. The Characters on Holiday (I think that is what it is called) has lots of characters and its stops are posted in the times guide. It is never crowded, as 95% of the people are surprised when it arrives.

We have also had great luck in the Wonders of Life building. I think they are there when it rains. Of course, it never does that in Florida.

Hey dad of five... Hammond here how are ya.... just thought I would say hi

We always go in Feb and see lots of characters. At 10 and 14 my kids are not character crazy but we always have to get a picture with Eyeore and Goofy.
