Morning comes on our last day at the Wilderness Lodge. We must pack up all of our treasures and move on to our final stop on our adventure.
Chloe called bell services to schedule them to pick up the bags for transfer to the Dolphin. The CM asked us if the bags were ready. No, just trying to schedule a pick up time. She told us to just call back when we are ready for them to come pick them up and they will be there. On other trips, I have been left waiting in the room for luggage assistance to come and pick up our stuff and I know that sometimes it takes awhile. I'm thinking that this is going to be a repeat of this because we have to wait until we are all packed, then call, then wait for them to fit us in with the rest of the people that have already called.
We finish packing and Chloe calls again half an hour or so later. Yes, this time we are ready. Ok, we prepare to wait and complain about how long this takes. I didn't even have time to dig the tip money out of my wallet when they were knocking on the door. It was like a scene on TV when they order something, hang up the phone, and immediately the doorbell is ringing with the delivery.
Goodbye, Wilderness Lodge. You were a most pleasant surprise. We'll be back with the rest of the family someday.
We bus over to Epcot and yes, another day of rope drop. On my solo trip that I made to the World back in January of this year, I am proud to say that I had been the very first guest to ride Soarin' for the day. Today, we are not, but that's ok. We still made it for opening and I'm proud of our hussle. We walked thru the regular que and onto the ride. We lucked into row 1. I always feel awkward asking because once a CM really embarassed me about asking for it.
We were Soarin' then Test Tracking....
Obligatory tourist picture....did you think we were really scared?
I took Chloe on the refurbished Spaceship Earth. This, along with the TTA, is an attraction that is my favorite, over and over ride. When my children take me to Disneyworld when I am old, they can load me on this ride and leave me for the day. Then they can blame it on me being a crazy, old lady. Nope, I just really love it. At Magic Kingdom, on the TTA, at least they will be able to wave and keep an eye on me as I go around and around and around.
We went to Living Seas and then to our ADR at Coral Reef.
Lobster Salad w/Lobster Bisque:
Chloe had the Mahi Mahi
I highly recommend the Mahi Mahi over the lobster salad.
Dessert was our usual. Chocolate Wave.
We saw the show in the United Kingdom....LOVE THIS ONE. We see it every trip and it's always a different cast.
This guy was the King. LONG LIVE THE KING. He was so hilarious.
We tried on some VERY FRENCH (very stinky) perfume. I didn't intend to take a bath in it. It had a very powerful sprayer. Whew. I can clear the pathways just by smell alone!
We made our escape from Epcot through the back door and walked over to the Dolphin to check in early. I apologized to the agent for my smell and explained about the mishap in France. The agent was trying to be nice and said "I didn't even notice. I have you......Oh." Yeah. That's when the smell smacked him in the face.

How truly embarassing.
I'm not sure if it was because we've stayed there a few times before or the standard rooms perhaps were overbooked (just a guess) but he told us that we had been upgraded to a Fireworks view room.

Keep in mind that I had a good discount here as well so it made it even sweeter because the fireworks rooms are a bit of a jump in price from standard.
We stunk up the elevator on our way to our room. I feel badly for the people that had to get on when the girls bathed in toilet water got off.
Here's our room.
And our view.
We were going to go swimming but I had crawled into the bed to see if it was as comfortable as I remembered. Next thing I knew, it was time to get up and get ready for dinner.
Chloe has been taking French. She's a natural (naturally) and she took two years of French in the same year of school. She wouldn't shut up in French I and knew all the answers and drove everyone crazy so the teacher let her take the final and moved her to the end of French II. WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS, you ask? Well, tonight is our Chefs de France reservation, of course. She has really been excited about this reservation since I told her at the airport.
We are a little early so I get a glass of Champagne from the booth.
This champagne went straight to my head because one minute I was asking Chloe to take my picture by the fountain and the next minute, Paris was spinning.
I step back and let Mademoiselle check us in. It's not a long wait. As we are walking in, Chloe passes the manager and staff and they comment about her beautiful dress.
Chloe is in her element. French people, french food, ooh la la.
