Sorry ahead of time if this is a little long. My son and I are taking my DD on a surprise trip to Disney Aug 2-7. And since the last time we were able to go for her bday was when she turned 5, I would like to do a few un-birthday surprises there for her. She turned 12 in June. Does anyone have any suggestions for us to do. My DS is 18 so he will be spending most of his time on his own. So it will be mainly my DD and I. Any suggestions???

How fun and I bet your dd will be delighted. Here are some ideas:

* a mother/daughter spa day/treatment

* rent the little boats and cruise around DTD or by the Contemporary or GF

* is there a pirates and princess party during the time you are there? consider buying tickets.

* leave little surprises overnight from Tinkerbell. I love doing this for my little kids, but every kid loves a fun surprise like a bathing suit, t-shirt, plush, etc.

* make an appointment at Bibbidy Boppity Boutique for a beauty makeover -- maybe you can both do it!

* schedule a fun character meal -- maybe Cinderella's Castle or Chef Mickeys or go to Hoop De Doo Revue (if you can!). Make up an invitation on your computer and roll like a scroll and tie it w/a fancy ribbon and have it "delivered" to your room.

* search for hidden mickeys or do a scavenger hunt

* make custom autograph book or scrapbook pages and collect the autographs and pics of your favorite characters over your stay.

* have a super duper water park day -- its gonna be hot!

Awwww, lucky girl.

My DD is younger but she just loves to get her nails done with Mommy. The last time we went to WDW we had little black Mickey heads painted on our thumbs before we left:cloud9:

Have fun:thumbsup2

You all will have so much fun. I have a blast with my 2 dd's who are 4 and 5. Although I don't want them to grow up too fast, I can't wait for the day, that they can spend the day with me...as little adults. :rotfl:

Thanks! I went to the mall today and picked us up some POC T-shirts to wear. She's at camp right now so I was able to go shopping for them without her knowing. I'll give her the tshirt when we get to WDW. I'm gonna definitely do a water park day. A character meal sounds great. I think I'm gonna call in advance and see if I can schedule to get an "un-birthday cake" brought to our table too. Thanks for all the suggestions. 11 days to go!!!!:cool1:
