I booked on 9/8 for a 2 night stay, 12/1, $149/$179 APH rate. Checked today and was $139/169. Called and rate was changed, told the lady $20 will buy me lunch, she just laughed.

That's great! :sunny: Have a wonderful time!

Do the Universal Orlando Resorts have price "seasons" like Disney? My daughter wants to stay at HRH in the worst way, and I'd love to take her but I need to find times when the rates are lowest to be able to do it. Or, do I just keep checking dates for AAA or passholder discounts? Thanks for any advice you have.

I think at Universal the rooms are priced by supply and demand, but I could be totally wrong. Which is the same system Disney will use, but will post the different rates for different seasons, which is actually the same thing. I have always gone to Universal in August, last December we just stayed on WDW property and visited Universal for 2 days. It worked out fine because Universal was not busy in early December. We have always gotten very low rates in August. This year it was stay 3 get the 4th night free and the rates for the HRH were $159 weekdays and $179 weekend, these rates were only released in July. We stayed at RP and paid $129 and $159 so I cannot comment on other months. But late August, after the 2nd week seem to always be lower, southern kids are back at school. These were AP rates. I have seen low rates on these boards for other times as well. Just keep checking the Universal site and these boards.
