DH and I had gone back and forth between taking a trip this past December or waiting until this year to visit MK for our DD2's birthday. A week before her birthday DHs grandfather gifted us with a 3-day trip, very last minute but something we were not about to pass up! I got online right away and booked our hotel reservations (off site as there was nothing affordable left on site) as well as our fast passes. Understandably, 7DMT wasn't available but I was able to get us FP+s for PPF, AoWP, JC, PoC, Buzz Lightyear's, Journey of Little Mermaid, HM, and m&g Cinderella/Elena. Our little ones are between 1-8 years of age so the less time we had to wait for rides and attractions the better! Lol
The park wasn't too busy first half of the day, surprisingly. Our days were 26th-28th so we were expecting the worst when it came to the crowds. However it was nice to see the park about as busy as when we were there in the summer of 2014 - busy but not shoulder to shoulder busy. Around 11am crowds picked up a bit and by 2pm it was noticeably busier but mostly in concentrated areas (Fantasyland and Frontierland being the worst). Standby we waited 45min for 7DMT but we rode it early in the morning, within the hour of park opening. Standby lines ranged between 50-120min for rides we had FP+s for so we were very happy to bypass those lines. Weather was great, in the mid-60s in the mornings and evenings and 80s in the afternoon. The day we left a cold front came in dipping temps into the 50s and some rain so we definitely lucked out! Overall it was a wonderful trip and I'm glad we were able to swing it with such short notice.
