Surprise visit and upgrading?

I am surprising DH with a visit to DL after a business trip to Vegas. We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of our first date

I called this morning to book for the weekend of Oct. 21 and 22 and could not get ANY concierge level for the 21st, the actual anniversary date. I went ahead and booked a premium view at DLH. I thought I read somewhere that I could pay to upgrade any room to concierge but now I can't remember where I saw that info.

I did luck out and get a garden view concierge at GCH for that Saturday night.

Also, any suggestions for dinner on our anniversary?

Here are a couple suggestions -
Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen has great food and it's a festive atmosphere. For something more romantic for 2, try Napa Rose in the Grand Californian. You might want to score waterside seats at the Blue Bayou, but I'd suggest that more for lunch or for a dessert. Another option is Catal's dining room in Downtown Disney. EXCELLENT FOOD on that menu... and if you time it right, from the 2nd story you can catch a glimpse of the fireworks in DL sometimes.

One final secret... is the Wine Trattoria Dining room in DCA. I've never been there myself (though we plan to go in a month or so, so I might have a review for you), but I've oggled the menu many times. It's price fixed, so you simply select what you want from thier choices and your done! It's quiet, upstairs from the usual dining patio.

Napa Rose is definitely on our list for dinner. I would be very interested in what you think of the Wine Trattoria Dining Room. Is that the same as the Vineyard Restaurant?

This is our first trip to DL in 20 years and our first visit to DCA. We visit WDW usually twice a year so I am looking forward to our DL visit.
