We leave on Friday April 2nd for a surprise trip to DLR! :cool1: I'm so excited! My DH and I have planned everything on the sly. :rolleyes1: The kids (DS13, DS10, DD6, DD2) have no idea. They know we are going somewhere for Spring Break, but not where.

I have planned as much as I can....packing lists, RideMax, preparing for Spring Break crowds. It is so weird to be planning a trip that I can't tell the kids about!

I can't wait to surprise them! Their Easter Baskets are being delivered the day we leave. They will be filled with Disney stuff--swimsuits, games for the car ride, etc. And that is how they will find out that we are going!:woohoo:

Thanks for listening! I'm too excited to keep this to myself any longer! I knew everyone here would understand my excitement about planning another trip. My friends have listened--but they just aren't addicted like I am. :lmao:

Congratulations on keeping the secret. I'm sure your kids will be excited. I just booked a surprise trip for my daughter's birthday and I don't know how I will be able to keep it quiet for 6 months!!! Enjoy your trip!

So cute and so like me! I am surprising my son too...we leave on the third. I am packing the Easter basket and after he falls asleep on Saturday night I will fill it and have it ready for him in the morning. (Our bunny fills the same basket year after year instead of a new basket). Are you doing any sort of an egg hunt on your trip? I am a little bummed about not getting to do this part of Easter. Anyways....Have fun and good luck!!!

woohoo so excited for you!!!

we are doing the same, our kids are 11 and 9.. I've been planning everything on the sly since December and they have no idea. they thing they are going to their grandparents for spring break!

best thing is.....

WE LEAVE TOMORROW!!!! WOOHOO

hugs

Surprise trips!! WooHoo!! I'm just as excited for all the other surprise trips as I am my own!

We have been planning since November. I am so proud of myself for not letting it slip!!

Suprise trips are so exciting! We are leaving on April 5th bright & early & STILL haven't decided on how to suprise the kids. They are 8 & 11. We have been to DL many times but never as a suprise. :woohoo: It is soooo hard to not slip up & give it away!! I can not count how many times that I have almost blown it. Anyhow, hope you all have amazing trips & HAPPY suprising!!!!! :thumbsup2

I am doing the same thing! My 7 yr old DD and I are leaving on the 4th, in the evening. She asked me last week if the Easter Bunny leaves Golden Eggs(loves Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)for all of the children that are good and I told her "of course she does!" princess: Her eyes lit up and I had a great idea on how to tell her we were leaving for Disneyland that same day! I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a large paper mache egg, cut it open, hinged it and painted it gold. I found the cutest pink Minnie Mouse tshirt at Walmart and stuffed that inside with a "golden ticket" that said "surprise!! You and your mommy are going to Disneyland TODAY!!" I cannot wait to see her face!!:yay:

Oh I love that! Made me all teary eyed. :) We better come up with something pretty quick over here, just a little over 2 weeks to go!

How creative!!! I was just going to let her answer the character phone call announcing the trip. I guess I may have to rethink this.

What great ideas! I know my kids will be SO excited to have their Easter baskets early. The Easter Bunny will be stopping at our house Thursday night (the 1st) so they can have them Friday morning. Their baskets will have notes in them about our trip, and their new swimming suits and other Disney stuff. If they are even half as excited as I am, I will feel successful!

Yipee!!!
