Surprise trip to POP

Well here we are. Next Sunday we leave for a surprise trip to POP. This is our first package and our first stay at POP. All other trips were with AP's and planned so far in advance that we've never been able to use it as a surprise. It was a last minute, spur of the moment trip so we haven't told the kids. It was booked in Oct. when the Nov/Dec rates came out (and it's been killing me!) Anyway.... does anyone have any good ideas on how we can break the news to the kids? We were planning on telling them next Saturday morning that we would be leaving for Disney the next morning. We'd have to let them know we are going somewhere because when we take the dogs to the kennel it will be a give away.

Also, any ideas on window decorating at POP? We've never stayed at POP before and I think they will really enjoy that.

that is such a great idea. I bet your kids are going to enjoy it. I am 27 and have been going to disney since i was a kid, me and my gf bought DVC back in 04. .its really great. Anyway, as for a suprise, i would basically tell them you are going somewhere else for a suprise, and then when you get down there..then you can tell them you're really going to disney..that is what i would do...let me know what you decide
