Surprise trip and renting points question

I am thinking of surprising my wife for our anniversary and I would love to be able to rent points for a room probably wishful thinking, but my problem is I don't want to drop about 600-800 dollars because we share the same bank account and would have to explain that one. Not sure if anyone knows where I could book something and kind of spread out the payments so my wife doesn't find out? I know its tough trust me but any info could help me out alot, thanks.

You can post your request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board in any of the threads titled "Points for rent" or "Points for Rent/Trade". You will need to work with a member who is offering to make reservations for others and would be willing to allow payment options to your liking.

I think if you can find someone who can book you 11mo out from your date you might be ok. Because that means even if you spread out your payment to say 4-6 payments (about $200/month) you should be able to pay it off before the member's bank/borrow due date.

You just have to find the right member

OR you can start taking a little bit of $ now and then collect enough for at least 50% down and it might get easier for you to find a member to rent from.
But start looking at the Rent/Trade board now like Doc said to see what's available out there.

AWE how sweet! HAVE FUN! I agree with the others, if there is a lot of time between now and staying time, smaller payments would work for someone
