Single digits dance!! Yay!!!
It's a dance party up in my PTR thread today!!! I LOVE IT!!! party:

We are here in WDW and I wanted to let you know that the blueberry lemon curd tart is very good. :)
Oh my god, that's right, you're THERE right now, Sue! How sweet of you to pop in to my PTR! I hope you're having a WONDERFUL time!!! And good news... that tart DID make my final cut, so it's definitely on the list! YUM! :cutie:

8 days until WDW! :hyper:
**************************************************

Hey, ya'll! :grouphug:

Soooo... I went changing things up again yesterday. :rotfl:

Again, not HUGE changes, but still noteworthy. My constantly reassessing brain thought of a couple of ways to squeeze EVEN MORE AWESOMESAUCE into my quick little trip. :goodvibes

I should be rolling into Kissimmee next Friday around 8pm, right? And I'mma be hongry for some dinner, right? And I don't wanna be cruising up and down Hwy 192 trying to decide where to eat, right? So. What's the most logical thing to do?

Well...

...Book an ADR at a restaurant inside a Disney resort, OF COURSE.

So, off a-hunting I went for an ADR! I very seriously considered trying something different and new that I've never done before, and which is usually too far out of my way to just hop a bus over to during a normal trip. I even spent some time staring real hard at an 8:45pm ADR at Olivia's, over at Old Key West. (Which happens to be where I plan on staying in October 2021... Yes, I have my trips tentatively planned that far out... )

In the end, an old familiar love won out... When I get into town, I'll be heading straight for Animal Kingdom Lodge. Why? Because I now have a 9:00pm ADR at Boma, that's why! :woohoo:

I ended up choosing this one for several reasons...

1. Proximity. It's only 6 minutes from AKL to the hotel I'm staying at that night in Kissimmee, and uses very easy-to-follow uncongested side roads, which will make getting to my hotel after dinner a breeze. A quicker commute to the hotel also means an earlier bedtime!

2. Tradition. I've visited Boma (and AKL) on every single trip I've taken since 2002.

3. Value and variety. If I'm only doing one sit-down dinner the whole trip, and for about the same about of money, I'd rather have an amazing buffet than a la carte.

4. Animals! Since I don't know exactly what time I'll be getting there, depending on traffic and what kind of time I make on the interstate, I could be up to an hour earlier than my ADR time. And I can spend an infinite amount of time on the animal overlooks, so I won't mind getting there super early, if it works out that way.

Bomaaaaa! YUMMMM!!! :bitelip:

The other change-up is after my Epcot day, I realized I can't catch a bus straight to Downtown Disney. I had forgotten they don't do that anymore. So I thought "That's fine, I'll just scoot out the backdoor after Illuminations, and catch a bus from the Boardwalk."

And THEN I thought... "Wait a minute... in all the times I've been to WDW, I've never once made time to check out the Boardwalk area. Why don't I just do that instead for an hour or two?"

But THEN I thought, "Well, then I'll still have to catch a bus to DTD afterwards, so I can transfer to a bus back to POFQ. Since I'm going to have to go there anyhow, why don't I just spend an hour or so at each?"
So. There you go. Now apparently I'm cramming the Boardwalk into the weekend somehow, too. :lmao: (In reality, I'll probably be so pooped after my Animal Kingdom/Epcot day that I'll skip both the Boardwalk and DTD all together, and go straight back to my room. But hey! The plans are there, should I want to utilize them! I'm aiming HIGH here!) :thumbsup2

That's all I got for right now. 8 days, OMGGGG! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

More changes?? Craziness!!

Boma should be an awesome way to start the trip ... I'm so happy that you decided to add that ADR!
AK/Epcot/Boardwalk/DTD ... just reading it all makes me exhausted! I've never checked out the boardwalk area either ... so I'm hoping to see lots of pictures of it in your upcoming TR!

PS ... I also have my 2021 trip planned ... I'm going November (the week of Mickey Mouse's birthday - should be a little less insane than October, but still a special Disney occasion), staying at either Contemporary or Poly (I'm a traditionalist ... for the 50th, I'm staying at one of the hotels that opened with the park). I don't have everything until then planned out yet ... just some tentative ideas for 2016

I warned ya'll that I might come up with more ways to improve upon this trip! :cutie: It's all I freakin' think about!

You and me both, girl! It's more than I wanted to spend for dinner that first night, but I think it'll really be worth it, and will put me right into that Disney frame-of-mind! ::MickeyMo And I don't intend on doing much in the way of shopping this trip, so I can justify it!

AK/Epcot/Boardwalk/DTD ... just reading it all makes me exhausted!
I hope I can do it! I won't be too hard on myself if I decide to skip some of it, though. I know my plans are highly ambitious! Gonna squish as much Disney into my 3-night trip as I can handle! :earsgirl:

Oh, if I manage to make it over there, pictures will be taken, don't you worry! ::yes::

I love the idea of staying CR/Poly for 2021, but I'm staying for 10 nights on that one, and the little kitchenette in the studios at OKW will be a blessing. Not to mention the price tag. As a girl who is used to paying Value and Moderate prices, I gotta eeeease into the Deluxe bracket so my wallet doesn't go into total systemic shock.

I'm probably only doing 5-6, so it's a little easier to handle, but ... it's 2015 and I already have a savings account dedicated to just that trip. I always stay value. The Deluxe pricetag will probably bankrupt me, even with the savings account.

Ok, I totally missed the single digit dance :flower1::yay::rockband::rainbow::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::bounce::jumping1::jumping2::jumping3::Pinkbounc:dancer::dancer::dancer::cool1:party::dance3:

I think your additional of Boma is AWESOME!!!! Get a little taste of Disney (and some good food too).

I haven't spent much time on the Boardwalk either...I was wondering if we could squeeze some time in for that in November but I guess I will have to wait and see.

BTW, the furbabies are so cute!! What is it with kitties liking to get into suitcases?? Too cute!

Nice changes. Boma is so good and it will be great to visit Disney property that first night even if you're not staying there. And it's cool that your plans are flexible so you can do the Boardwalk and DTD, or not if you don't feel like it. You are so close.

Wow, great ideas!! Love your new plans!! I too have learned so much around here!! I can't believe you are already planning for 2021!! Wowza! I am a planner...but I can't even picture what life will be like in 6 years! Boma is so yummy and a great idea for your first night!! I know how you feel trying to cram a lot into a short trip...with wanting to see the Boardwalk and DTD etc...both are so much fun....I hope you get to do them...but at the same time...all that touring and eating can be exhausting and you don't want to be so wiped you need another vacation after!!

Wow Billie, you are a planner extraordinaire! I can see that I will have to up my ante in trip planning for my next trip - I thought I was doing so great just picking out park days, fast passes and QS dining spots. I see I have much to learn on these boards!
Stick around, these boards are an AMAZING resource! :cutie:

Dang girl, you brought a whole dance party with you to make up for being late! :lmao: You even brought a band! That's CLASSY!

I do looooove me some Boma. Om nom nom! ::yes::

I haven't spent much time on the Boardwalk either...I was wondering if we could squeeze some time in for that in November but I guess I will have to wait and see.
My time is so limited... But I figure that I should at least poke my head over, stroll (or in my case, scoot) along the promenade, get something yummy from the Boardwalk Bakery, and knock a few things off of the ol' WDW bucketlist! :thumbsup2

BTW, the furbabies are so cute!! What is it with kitties liking to get into suitcases?? Too cute!
Every time the suitcases come out of the closet. :cat: Every. Single. Time. :rotfl:

That's the idea!!! :cloud9:

Yes, I'm definitely keeping that night flexible, and will decide what to do based on my energy levels. I have that blasted 5-hour drive the next day, so I do have to force myself to be at least a leeeeeeetle bit responsible! (Again why I envy people who can just fly down and back!)

You are so close.
Not close enough, omg! :P The next 8 days are going to goooo soooo sloooooow...

Eh, my life has been pretty much the same for a long time now. I'm a confirmed cat lady. Next year I'd like to work on getting a job that actually pays me what I'm worth (even if it means sacrificing all my sweet WDW perks), but beyond that, no foreseeable big changes. Why not make tentative annual vacation plans? :D

Boma is so yummy and a great idea for your first night!!
Yesssss! It's become such a tradition to go there every trip that the moment I set foot in AKL, I'll feel like I'm at Disney. I can't wait!!! :-)

I know how you feel trying to cram a lot into a short trip...with wanting to see the Boardwalk and DTD etc...both are so much fun....I hope you get to do them...
Me too! Dream big, baby! Dream big!

but at the same time...all that touring and eating can be exhausting and you don't want to be so wiped you need another vacation after!!
If you don't come home from WDW needing a vacation from your vacation, then you're doing it wrong. :lmao: Back me up here, @Tracy161!!

I am way late to this party, but I saw your comments at Mo's and had to wander over to check out what was happening. As soon as I saw your picture WITH TIARA, I was in! I love love love a tiara! I used to wear the one from my wedding around the house when I cleaned. Vacuuming is the perfect reason to put on your tiara! Anywho.....

This trip sounds SO SUPER AWESOME! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Hooray! Welcome, welcome! Late arrivals are fine, just as long as you know that when this PTR ends in a week, I intend on hauling everybody with me over to the resulting TR as well as over to my December PTR! Just so you understand what you've signed on for! :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Yaaaassss! I couldn't agree more! princess:

I LOVE THIS IDEA. I've worn mine to the office before, but this totally tops that! And is inspiring, as well... I think I might just need to wear mine when I'm cleaning up the apartment this weekend (to include vacuuming) in preparation for my trip! :thumbsup2

This trip sounds SO SUPER AWESOME! I can't wait to hear all about it!
I hope it will be!!! I'm so glad to have you along, too!
