We are planning surprise trip for our son. His birthday is March 29th and he will be 10. We plan wrapping up the plane tickets, park tickets, guide book, etc. and give it to him the evening of his birthday. We are going to tell him pack your bags we are leaving in the morning. Grant it I will have most everything packed and hidden in the basement.

Now the problem is, are we going to feel like sardines in the park if we plan on being in the parks March 30th (Wednesday afternoon) - April 1st (Friday)? I have read a couple of post that say this is spring break week.

:cool1: I can't wait! he is going to be SOOOO surprised! We have been to WDW many times, but never to DL. He is a Disney nut just like his father and me. We are so proud! :earboy2:

Maybe...but just go with a good attitude and you'll still have lots of fun. Plan on utilizing FastPass whenever possible and get there first thing in the morning. When the crowds get the worst, just go back to the hotel for a swim or nap and then head back and stay til closing time. What a great surprise for your DS...he's a lucky boy!!!

You'll have crowds. There will still be some spring breaks going on. Just like calypso so, get there early, then take a break mid-day.

What a cool surprise. For our WDW trips, I usually surprise my son too. But for our DL trips, I usually let him in on the planning.
