I've decided to take my DH to WDW for a long weekend (11/1-11/4) for a belated birthday gift. Does anyone have any rental codes that are good for that time period? It will just be the two of us--leaving kids at home--so don't need a very big vehicle. I'm off to check National EA and see what I can come up with.

Still checking SW for cheap flights as well. I'm figuring I probably missed any DINGs for that period!

DH has no idea. I just told him he needs to schedule off for two days and I'll take care of the rest! He is not as WDW crazy as me, but he will LOVE being able to go to Universal for the Halloween Horror Nights and I'll get to go to MNSSHP!!!

try mousesavers.com for more but here's some to get you started:
Dollar promo code: KISS2
Alamo: if paying w/ American Express card, ID# 7013604
Alamo: Walmart code that gives discount plus free addl driver, ID# 428448
Alamo: Ecoupon AD3829MRB
no paper coupon needed as per other Disers

Also another poster mentioned that if you return the car 1/2 hr. early (prior to your original pick up time) it drops the price a lot. I tried it for our Nov. trip and it's true.

I hope you'll be staying onsite at Universal. The FOTL will spoil you rotten, not to mention your dh will think you're a Godess! We just took a similar trip but it wasn't a surprise. Just a fun getaway to the Hard Rock Hotel. I highly recommend it!!!:thumbsup2 :cloud9:
Have a great trip!!:goodvibes
ETA: sorry, I see in you siggie you've been to the HRH so you already know what I mean!

Thanks for the car info!

Since this is a quick trip (If I can make it happen!) we are only doing HHN at Universal so no FOTL even by staying at a Universal resort. I think we're just going to stay at Disney for all 3 nights rather than moving around. Wish we could go value for the price, but with no kids, we NEED a hot tub!!!

You may want to go to hotwire and checktheir prices and then bid on priceline. Make sure all your info is correct because once your bid is accepted it is yours. You should bid 20- 30 % lower than hotwire.

Mommy Poppins,

Dollar has a midsize for $53.31 total for your dates. Economy/compact are the same price so might as well go with the midsize.

bab31,

Hotwire is not offering their low rates for these dates - they are only displaying the regular rates from the agencies for me. Did you see anything different when you checked these dates?

looked at the hotwire prices and prices seem quite high- I would not buy from hotwire regardless- I use them as a guide to see what is out there for pricing- that dollar price is very good from ruadisneyfan. Only other suggestion is go to priceline and bid low -remember once your bid is accepted it is yours-all info has to be correct.

only other question is where is dollar at? and how difficult to take the shuttle?
