We are leaving in 3 days for the happiest place on earth and I'm so excited I'm about to burst. My DD, Hayley (8) has no idea we are going!!!
We just had a baby girl, Caya (6months) in November and we are so proud of Hayley for the way she has handled everything. She is the best big sister...so loving, nurturing and giving and has shown no signs of jealousy (yet)! We wanted to do something very special for her to let her know how much we love and appreciate her. She's been dying to go back to Disney since our last trip in 12/2003. We keep telling her maybe over Christmas this year but little does she know......
We have been planning this trip since the day my maternity leave was over. She thinks we are leaving Saturday morning to take DH to the airport for a golf trip in FL and then us girls are going to spend the day at the Indy zoo. She feels so sorry for me because she thinks DH is leaving ON my birthday. We plan pull right up to the ATA entrance and curbside check our luggage. If she stays in the car, she'll never know what's going on outside. Then she, Caya and I will go in and wait for DH to park the car. We are going to web check in the night before so we can go straight to the gate. I made her an autograph book and I'm going to give her that along with a letter I wrote her telling her where we are going and why. I can't wait to see her sweet little face.
I have more surprises for her throughout the trip...some are just small things but surprises none the less. One of her friends and his parents are going along with us which will be so nice for her to have someone her age to do stuff with. My sister and nephew live in FL and are driving to Disney for a day. We have reservations at Cinderella's and Akershus that she won't know about until each day. I've also picked up a few small disney things to give her throughout the week.
Thanks for letting me share my story. You are all so wonderful! I love these boards!!! Hopefully, now that I have told someone I won't burst!!!!!
