Surprise,mom!

Hey there Gang!
Glad you are coming to read! I wasn't really sure where to put this since it is awhile away.. six months away actually, but, I'm excited and need some help planning! This trip has to be HUGE! I have made a new account on here as this is a surprise trip for mom. I'm planning on going in January and going to give her a WDW trip for christmas. I am a huge disney fan, and like her love everything about planning trips to wdw. Unfortunitly, due to things at home, and other bills, she doesn't know when she is able to go back. Because, I really want to go, and who else better to go with than my mom, i decided to save up all my money and pay for the both of us to go!

I'm 21 years old and manage a horse stable, mom, lives at home with my dad and younger sister taking care of our hobby farm. Going to WDW is something that always puts me in a good mood and leaves me smiling for hours.

We have been to WDW three times as a family, I have been once when I was a baby and just in 2011 my mom and my best friend went together. I want this trip to be totally different. I want to plan things we both have never seen yet, and eat at places we have yet to try. This isn't really a pre trip report- but more like a planning report.

So, I'm asking all of you to fallow along and help me out with this adventure! This is going to be one big surprise christmas morning and I can't wait!

I have been thinking and thinking about where I should book our hotel... I want to do cheap as possible- but somewhere new at the same time.. We have stayed at PO Riverside- and I wasn't really that impressed with it. However, mom was. My favorite place is ASMovies. We have stayed there enough times though.. I had thought about POP- as we had a dis meet there one time and it didn't seem to bad... I had also thought about maybe staying in one of the cabins...

Right now I am looking to hear everyone's thoughts on POP and the cabins.. if you guys could give me input that would be great!!

We love POP. Our tips for a nice quiet life are....stay in the 80's or 90's, the walk to Everything POP does not take forever like some people post, it takes minutes!! The pool is really quiet most of the time as it has no 'extra's', and if you ask for a top floor room, you have no-one making noise above you.

The food court has a load of great options, and with the opening of AoA you've got a whole new world to explore right on your doorstep. No sharing buses either!!!

Is there an elevator there or stairs to get to top floor? at POR-there was just stairs! I hated dragging everything up them when we arrived and left.
