I went to a graduation party out of state this weekend. There was the sweetest little three year old girl; we will call her Susie. She was the light of her parents' eyes, smiling, happy and the results of a six year struggle to conceive that ended with invitro fertilization and her happy birth. The mom was told that she would probably never have another child and that it would be expensive to again pursue invitro fertilization so they were happy to have little Susie be an only child. They gave away the baby clothes, the baby crib, stroller, etc. All of the baby stuff that those of us who plan to add to our family keep.
About 6 months ago Susie's mom noticed that she hadn't had a period in a couple of months. That was not unusual for her but as it approach three months, she noticed other obvious changes as well. When she went to her doctor she discovered that she was in her forth month of pregnancy. She is due in August and they are expecting a little sister for Susie. Of course, her friends have given her all of their baby stuff and more in preparation for the exciting day.
