Hellloooooo everyone! I love reading all the trip reports so I thought I would start a pre trip report since we are inching closer and closer to January 31!

This trip has been planned for over a year but without the knowledge of my 11 year old son, Jalen. The main reason for not telling him is he would drive me NUTS if he did know!

My husband, Bruce has never been to Disney. He has it in his mind that WDW is for kids only. I hope to show him that just isn't true! He is excited about eating and drinking in Epcot though. :thumbsup2

I recently had gastric bypass (July 23) so this trip will be a different experience for me as I usually will eat and eat, and eat, and eat!

A little info about our family. This is the second marriage for both of us. We were married June 2, 2012. I'm Christy, husband is Bruce and my 11 year old is Jalen. We live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. My husband is retired navy (20 years) and currently works as an electrician QA. I'm a hospice nurse and my son's job is a 6th grader. :wave2:

I will upload some pics after I figure out this photobucket thing!

Our general plans are these:

Leaving OKC Jan 31 at 915am, arriving in Orlando at 3pm.

We will be staying at CSR, have requested the Cabana area. 9A or 8B if possible...need some pixiedust:

Our departing flight doesn't leave until 630pm so we will get to have some park time on Feb 8th before leaving.

Very excited!! :)

As far as planning goes I am using easywdw. We used TGM last trip but since his site has gone downhill we are def going to use Josh.

I have all our ADR's booked. Flights paid for, room paid for. We were able to book with the military discount. We do still have to get the tickets for the parks but we will do that next month on base.

Anyone have any luck with linking tickets from the bases to Magic Bands??

Can't wait to here more about your trip. I DH had the lap-band done a few years ago so I know how the change is from all the food to just a few bites.

He really liked it he lost a good amount. I know I had to change all our eating habits but worth it in the end :)

@disneymommagic That's great!

Anyone have experience with late January/ early February? I've been contemplating our clothing choice. I guess we should bring some of everything??

I'm getting so excited, part of me wants to tell my son and the other part says noooo your so close. LOL

Today we are making signs for my oldest son's arrival in the morning. He graduated boot camp and is officially a Marine. We are so excited. Haven't been able to see him since July and talked to him for the first time three days ago. We miss him soooo much!!!

As far as planning goes I'm contemplating doing a mini cake at our dinner at Kona the first Saturday we are there. Since I've had gastric bypass I can just have a bite and my hubby isn't into sweets so the mini cake will be perfect for us. I also made the first clothing purchase from the Disney store, got some thermal shirts for us and I also used an ETSY designer to get Vinyl iron ons. Going to try to do those soon, kind of nervous because I've never done an iron on before!! Wish me luck and pixiedust:
