My wife and i are new DVC owners :cool1:and will be arriving "home" to Kidani May 7-10 for my wifes May 8th birthday:cheer2:. Does anybody know of a service were you can order flowers or food baskets to be delivered to the room as a surprise gift?:confused3

On the DVC site there are DVC themed gifts. Also on disney.com there is a link where you can purchase and have gifts delivered to your room.

Try disneyflorist.com. They will deliver straight to your room and, although pricey, the product is beautiful. We ordered DD a gift that included a glass slipper, charm bracelet, and tiara and she was thrilled. :goodvibes

Thank you also

I always like to send a "welcome home" floral arrangement to ourselves, and arrange the delivery on our arrival date. It was something I did for our first DVC trip, and it sort of turned into a tradition. (We're getting quite a collection of DVC coffee mugs, now.)

Disney Florist items can be delivered directly to the room. This is a hit or miss thing, though. I always ask to have it noted on the delivery instructions that we'd like them put in the room. I'd say it happens roughly half the time.

If we're checked in when the delivery is made, it seems like they'll deliever it to the room. Several times, we've returned from the parks and found the flowers on the table. If we haven't checked in yet when the delivery is made, however, they won't send it to the room. It will often be in storage at the front desk. If I remember, I'll ask if there was a delivery for us when we're checking in. Otherwise, we'll find the message light is blinking on the phone, and I'll head up to the front desk to pick them up.

In the 6 or 7 times we've done it, I've never checked in, headed to the room, and found the flowers there when we arrived.

Can you customize an order? We are staying in Kidani Village this July and I thought an exotic arrangement would be appropriate. I haven't gone on the Disneyflorist site yet, so maybe my question would be answered! Just wondering!

I bet they're like most florists. They have set designs they show on their web site, but will probably be willing to customize something for you if you ask.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to call Disney Florist next week to set up an arrangement for delivery on my wife's b-day. I'll post what i find out.

ya know... she reads these boards :rotfl2:

I'll add that I do call Disneyflorist - give them my budget - and tell them which of their arrangements I love - the Tropical one - its up to $100 but I tell them what I like and have asked if they could do it for less - and they have never disappointed! (I get fewer flowers, not sure which of those flowers is most expensive - but again, they do a great job! within our budget!) I think the tropical flowers just last so well - look so vibrant!

I posted this same question about a week ago and I was told that a lot of people have also used memoriesbybetsy successfully.

AKL offers several custom celebrations through room service (24 hour minimum set up I think)- there's a wine/cheese thing, a chocolate AKL logo box with truffles - some others as well. The prices are a LOT lower than Disney florist if you are looking for a food gift basket-type thing.

Oh boy do i know:lmao:. She would never tell me she saw this thread though :confused3. I did notice that when i started this thread she had started one also :surfweb:. I figure i can't go wrong. If she doesn't see it she will be surprised :thumbsup2:love:, but, if she does see it :woohoo: :love::banana::cool1:get the drift :lmao:

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but we arrive on Father's Day, anything "Fathery" I could have delivered to be there that day??

I did this for my wife's birthday in February! They did a fantastic job.

And there were battery operated candles around the room.

It was expensive, but worth every penny for my wife's birthday.

It's not a floral arrangement, but last year we surprised DH on Father's Day by going into EPCOT in the morning, casually walking over to Innoventions, and then telling him he was taking the Segway tour.:goodvibes He loved it - and got a little time to himself to boot (I think driving a Segway must be a man's equivalent of a spa appointment!)

That was awesome looking. Definitely worth looking into. Thanks.
