Hi!

My Boyfriend and I are going to Disney World for the first time together in September. We are getting the free dining plan. He's a pretty goofy guy, and keeps mentioning doing a character dinner. We've already planned our days (we are only going to be there for three) and I would love to squeeze in a character meal. Since we do have the dining plan, I would like to save the dinners for romantic restaurants (maybe the angel inn, coral reef, or cinderalla's royal table)... but I want to do a character meal for breakfast or lunch. We are planning on going to the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom in the mornings, heading over to Epcot and MGM after lunch. Can anyone suggest a character dining experience for breakfast or lunch at MK or AK?

Thank yoU!! :wave2:

how about a character breakfast close to Epcot?

Goofy's Beach Blast at the BC is one of my all time favorites!

especially if he likes Goofy. Goofy, Minnie, chip and dale are the characters.

close to the MK - I would go with Chef Mickey's at the Cont - party central. So be warned this place is LOUD! characters generally are - Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Pluto.

at the AK is the donald's meal (don't remember what it is called - long name)

May I suggest that you may want to call and book your romantic dinners now if you are going in September?

DH and I are doing our first character breakfast at 1900 Park Fair this year so sorry that I can't give much advice about that. I only know that I have been calling daily since the 30 day mark so get a later time at CRT for dinner...I have a 5:05 ADR but they are still only serving dinner from like 4:30-5:45 right now!!! So that's why I suggest calling a getting a time ASAP.

I recommend Crystal Palace in MK. Make an early ADR and you can get in the park early and have main street to yourselves.

A good Character breakfast near Magic Kingdom is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. We went there in December and we very happy with it. Wendy was our server and she was great, very attentive. Some of the characters that are there are: Pooh, Eeyore, Alice and Mary Poppins was out front.

We make it a point every trip to have breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club with Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale. It has a wide variety and we have gotten to know 2 servers from going so much Sami and Ronda they are both great we always request one of them.

Anybody have any suggestions on how early to get ADR's? I want to be able to eat, but still get in ahead of everybody else and cover some ground walking!

Our favorite character dining is Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary. It is by no means romantic, but alot of fun. I believe the character to guest ratio is one of the highest. We request the main dining room when we go.

For romantic dining I would book the mexican rest. in Epcot. We did that for our anniversary and it was really nice. The lighting is dim, the painted sky, music... not to mention the delicous margaritas!

We've also had really good meals at Le Cellier steakhouse in Canada. It is not romantic, but decent atmosphere, and fabulous food!

Enjoy!!

15 more days to Disney
