yesterday was suppose to be a belated birthday party for rob being that a lot of us were away for his birthday. well, this is what i was told. rob's sister tammy was throwing the "birthday party." when rob and i got to her house, it was my bridal shower! i cried a bit because it was a total surprise and i was thrilled to see my best friend Christina, whom i haven't seen in a year. it was a nice family gathering of soon to be in-laws, cousins, aunts, etc.
rob stayed until it was time to open the presents. i never liked opening presents in front of anyone cause i feel weird about it. i feel the same way watching someone open a present that i gave someone so it sort of even's out. my niece frances was my little helper. she gave me most of the presents, what she could carry that is, and helped me open whatever was wrapped. she questioned every card that i got. one had a girl going up some stairs wearing a dress and she kept asking, "what is she doing?" i told her, "she's going up the stairs."
i got a couple of gift cards from Bed Bath and Beyond, a set of bath towels, a couple of picture frames, a photo album, a statue of a bride and groom that plays Canon in D, which happens to be the song that i'm using to walk down the aisle to, a lasanga pan, a tea kettle, a colander (all matching), a insulated food server, a basket with a picture frame, a vase, a candle, and a pin with mickey, minnie and donald, i got one nightie
i got some money and i even got a book of disney stamps. those stamps will come in handy when i send out the thank you cards.
it was such a lovely party and a lovely day. my cake was a disney cake. it had cinderella, belle, and sleeping beauty figurines on it. there were disney lollipops that were hand made by tammy, nora and frances, my niece amie, my soon to be sister in law carmela and my sister heather. i haven't tried one yet but i'll let you know how they are.
i still can't get over the surprise. i've never been so surprised in all my life. i wish you guys were there to celebrate with me. we all would've had so much fun.
i just wanted to share my surprised filled day with you guys.
