Surprise AKL Kidani stay in just 10 Days!

hello... it has been so long since I have posted on these great boards (I lurk but since we rarely get to visit WDW I don't feel I have a lot to offer ). Anywho...my DH just gave me a surprise 50th B-day trip to WDW (I just found out last week and I cannot believe I am going to WDW without planning a year in advance!!!). We are set to stay in a studio in Kidani Village in AKL. I have read a lot of the AKL thread. We have never stayed here before...never even visited the resort! It has been two years since we last visited and this will be our first trip alone since 1995! Ok so...sorry for long text... We have a Savanna view. So I was hoping to get some advice.

Should we do online check-in? Our plane will not arrive till 4:30 and we are scheduled to use ME...but I am considering a town car?
With a Savanna view studio...just 2 adults who don't really care about long walks in a hallway or being near elevators persay...where would you request?
Is there somewhere to get a latte in the morning? Early lol...

I am very excited (as you can see lol) so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I stayed in a Savanna View at Kidani, and it seems like all of the Savanna View rooms have the same open view of the whole Savanna. So I don't think a room request is necessary. Possibly higher floor?
I don't know if online check in gets you any better room, but it isn't difficult to do, so why not go ahead with it.

ETA: Long walk to the gift shop will get you a coffee but I don't think you'll get a latte there. No counter service restaurant at Kidani.

Congrats! Kidani is amazing. I don’t know about requesting a specific room or floor, but if you can, request a room closer to the elevator. Rooms that are far from the elevator can be really far.

We've never stayed at Kidani so I can't answer any of your questions, but wanted to say I hope you and your DH have a great trip .

At Kidani you can get a Cappuccino or Espresso in the morning at Sanaa. Their QS breakfast is excellent!
