Day 3
We had breakfast PS at Cinderella's Royal Table. So-So food and service but that's not what we are here for. Love those Princesses! Our PS was for 9:30 so we didn't get out of there until after 10:30. We decide to skip lunch.
We went to see Mickey's Philharmagic but it was broke down so we rode - Splash Mountain for the 50th time.
Decided to head over to MGM (it's starting to be so hot again that we are roasting and sweating up a storm!)
We had two goals - ride Rock N Roll Roller Coaster and the Great Movie Ride. Rock N Roll Roller Coaster was only a 15 min wait so we decided to stand in line. (Note that 15 minutes feels like an hour when your feet hurt). The ride was awesome and the best ride of the entire trip for me!
I didn't want to stand in line for the Great Movie Ride so I decided to sit on a bench under the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat while my daughter went on it. Bad idea! It was an hour and 15 min before she came out the exit! I was a nervous wreck. That is too long to send your teen on while you sit and watch the exit.
Back to the resort to rest and get ready for MNSSHP tonight (it's Halloween and sold out!)
Went to Magic Kingdom at 4:30 because we had 5:10 PS at Liberty Tree Tavern. Best meal of the trip but service was not good for me (the waiter at the next table was awesome - I think mine was having a bad night).
We were out about 6:15 and got herded over to Tomorrowland. What a nightmare! Thousands of folks all crammed into Tomorrowland meant HUGE lines everywhere. We rode the TTA and relaxed. They didn't make us get off since everyone basically ignored this ride.
When the party started at 7pm, we headed over to Splash Mountain of course. No wait - most folks still stuck in lines at Tomorrowland! Rode Splash Mtn two more times then went to Haunted Mansion (awesome on Halloween night!) but missed the DIS meet because we were late. Rode Pirates of Caribbean with no wait and headed back to Tomorrowland (crowds had left) to ride Indy 500 Race Cars twice.
Went to watch MNSSHP fireworks. They were awesome! I liked them better than Wishes because the fireworks were all around you in a 360 degree circle!
That was awesome! The witch that flew over was neat too.
Back to Splash Mountain for two more rides then caught the last train of the night to Main Street to exit.
As far as trick-or-treating, they were being very stingy with the candy but I got cracked up because as we were exiting at midnight, there were 6 CMs at the exit begging kids to take their candy - they were giving everyone 3 handfuls of candy!
Also, I don't know if it was a creepy Halloween thing or just a cold front, but it got very cool that night and I was wishing for a sweater! Maybe a Haunted Mansion ghost was following me around!
Back to the resort to rest for our ride home tomorrow!
