We went to WDW for our 10th anniversary this week. We were going to take a cruise, but didn't want to be without the kids. Anyway, we went for a week at the boardwalk villas, then we splurged for a night at the contemporary, 12th floor (cm rate through a family member). When we get there, we were told we have been assigned 14th floor! i knew what that meant, but didn't tell my wife. we got up there & the room wasn't ready. We had a snack & went resort hopping.
On the downside, my requests for anniversary cakes went ignored. They couldn't even find the requests, altyhough I made them both by phone & email. But, I wasn't going to let it ruin my stay. Lois tried to help, but was unable.
Anyway, when we get back, we are told our room was ready. As we head down the hall, I see that room numbers go for 2 & 3 doors.... As we get to our room (4901) I have it figured out that we have a suite. My wife didn't see the other doors. We entered through the bedroom area & we though that it was extremely well-appointed. Then I tell my wife the a connecting door is open. When we went through it, it was a HUGE living room, dining room & bar area. There was also a marble foyer & a 2nd bathroom. There were 3 sliding doors to the balcony! My wife was in tears. we were way beyond our financial means here!
The room was so nice, we decided to order room service for dinner instead of going out. we just relaxed all day. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!
