Has anyone experienced this yet? How is the character interaction and how is the food? Please tell me anything you can!

Thanks!

We found the character interaction to be good. I was taking a photo of DS with Pluto and Stitch was near by and jumped in front of the photo, I have a photo of stitches hand, it was a classic.

The food is OK, it is the standard buffet fare that we found around DL. Mickey waffles and pancakes, made to order omlette (which was delicious), breakfast potatoes. There was a peanut french toast or something like that, due to this and an allergy in our group, we all had waffles and pancakes made for us in the kitchen.

We would do it again, it was fun.

James, obviously I have not done this meal yet (I am eager to try it, though!), but to help you gauge a little bit how many characters will be there, someone just posted on a different thread the other day (cannot recall who) that there are more characters at Goofy's than at Surf's Up with Mickey. Since Goofy's seems to have increased the number of characters onsite by a couple lately, then that could mean that Surfs Up has maybe 4 or 5 (including Mickey at the door). From what I hear it is all buffet now (no menu orders anymore for that character meal), but probably about the same size buffet as you would find at Storytellers, I assume. But it looks like they have some unique items in their buffet that are kind of exclusive to that theme, so that would be something to look forward to!!

Yeah... I am excited to try it, but I am just trying to figure out if it is worth it. At this point it is a toss up between Surf's up and Minnie and Friends. I might just go with Minnie, i know what to expect.

I dissapear for a little while come back and I learns something new. I'm nterested in hearing a little more about it too.

We went a couple of weekends ago. There was Mickey, Minnie (both dressed in lifeguard gear), Stitch, Pluto, and Daisy Duck. The character at the door that you take the picture with before going in was Mickey.

Food was decent, but we still prefer the variety at Goofy's. We're not fans of Minnie's since the food is so basic, so we'd choose Mickey over that one.

The buffet included mickey waffles, pancakes, some kind of peanut butter chocolate french toast concoction, hash browns, scrambled eggs, scrambled egg whites, sausage, bacon, omelet station, muffins, bagels, lox and the trimmings, and a yogurt station with either strawberry or plain yogurt that could be topped with fruit, granola and other toppings. Fresh fruit, and YUMMY flatbreads! That was my favorite part of the buffet. There was chorizo with eggs flatbread, feta/mushroom/spinach flatbread, and a salmon one that I didn't try. Oh, and cereals. Oh, and DELICIOUS smoothies. A banana/something, and a melon one. Very good. Ack, and awesome chilaquiles.

Overall, pretty good. A little far, but good character interaction and we'd definitely go back. It's a beach theme, and the music is true to that. They had some kind of surfing lesson for the kids, and something to do with hula hoops. Hope that helps someone!

Would love to learn more! What else can you tell us? how much does it cost?

This sounds like it would be good. I was wondering if anyone knows the hours for the character breakfast?
