:yay: we are coming to florida next april have read about surfing lessons at typhoon lagoon any body know anything about this ie. age restriction price ect. :cheer2:

Hi,

My husband did the Surf School at Typhoon Lagoon in April this year. I do not know whether there is an age restriction but you do need to be a strong swimmer. The cost was $135 all in.

We arrived 2 1/2 hours before the park opened. First of all the participants (about 12 of them ) had dryside instruction in how to do a pop up onto the board, then they got in the water and had a go at paddling. After that the two surf instructors rode a wave and showed how the pros surf and then the participants got in the pool two at a time and had a go. They each rode about 10 waves each altogether. It was very cool. The rest of the family can go in and watch too and take pictures and video. We had a great holiday but that was definately the highlight.

Just to let everyone know a new surf park is opening at Festival Bay (next to beltz(Prime whatever it is called this year)
It is the first in the US and sponsered by Ron Jon's Surf Shop there.
It will have a pool for the pros and a pool for beginners etc.
Check out the Ron Jon's web pages for details
