I just signed my DD17 up for surfing lessions at Typhoon Lagoon, has anyone participated in this? If so was it worth it?

It sounds like alot of fun, the only draw back is the 5:45am start time.

Hi Denise!! I'm interested in this also - I haven't signed up yet, but my 13 y.o. DS is REALLY pestering me to do this. I'm wondering what others' experiences have been. I can't imagine getting up that early on vacation & I certainly can't imagine my son getting up on vacation since he's turned into a "sleeper" - remember the sleep till noon days?

Thanks to anyone for any insight.

My then 12yo DS did this last august, he had an awesome time. LOVED it so much he wants to do it again this august. The pictures they take of them are really nice souveniers to have also.
I would say go for it, they will enjoy it.

I don't have any info on this now, but it is to be hoped I'll have some after our trip--I've booked a lesson for the week we'll be there. (age: 32)

I am a little anxious as to how long you actually have to be swimming--I'm an ok swimmer, but I certainly don't have the endurance to swim for 2 hours straight...I'm hoping for a lot of floating breaks...

We are leaving tomorrow, once we get back I can let you know how much swimming there is. They allow spectators so I will be there also.
