Surfing at Typhoon Lagoon

My 19 yo son plans on a surfing lesson during our Oct trip. Can I go in with him to take pictures and/or videotape his lesson? Also how do we get to Typhoon Lagoon from SOG since the lessons take place before the park officially opens?

Last Sept when I looked into it for DH, I was told that DS and I could go with to watch...I assume you have to pay admission. We were told that we should take a taxi just to be sure that we are there on time. DH never ended up doing it, but probably will this Sept when we go.

I could be wrong but I believe that we didn't have to pay to watch my husband surf but if you chose to stay after the park opened, then you did have to pay admission. I would double-check before you go anyways. Your son should have a great time. Definitely worth the money for the lesson!!

Thanks BelleDaisy and kmygrl73. We will have our stars and stripes passes so admission is no problem. I was just more concerned whether they allowed cameras and videocameras. So many places do not allow them. Any idea how much cab fare is from SOG to TL? Thanks again!
