to keep it a secret. I am so excited! I have never had to keep a secret that long before. I already have the room booked. It is a trip for DD1 - age 6 by trip, DD2 age 4 for trip, DD3 age 2 for trip, Myself - age 31 for trip and my friend A - age 24? for trip. We are going over Mothers Day! We will be there May 4th - May 11th. The Epcot Flower & Garden show - I think will be there then too! DH actually suggested that just us girls go! We plan on not spilling the beans until THAT day! I want to get an afternoon flight out of Philly and let them come home from school to a big box that came for them in the mail. This way when they open it and have helium balloons fly out with an invitation to go see Mickey & the Princesses! I thought of having a plane cut out on one ribbon, a Mickey hat on another, a princess crown on one, a ticket cutout & a Disney gift card(an old used one) on another. How does that sound?

Love it! DH and I just surprised our kids this past spring break. DD is 9 and DS is 5. They thought we were picking up my parents, their luggage, and dropping them at the airport for a trip. When we got there however, we scooped up the kids and told my parents bye! They were speechless! We were able to keep it a secret all the way on the plane and in the rental car until we drove through the main Disney gate! A trip we will all remember!

Thank you for your support & story, I just need a place to chat openly because I love to talk about it. DIS boards gives me that and it helps me to not slip up in front of the girls.

DH and I are planning a surprise trip for March 2010 for Spring Break for our DS (5) and DD (8). They think we are going this summer, but I couldn't resist the 4/3 deal when it came out. I am struggling to come up with a good way to finally let the "cat out of the bag". I know I want to wait until the day we actually leave. We will be leaving the Friday evening after DH comes home from work (we drive down). I want to do something really creative, but I have 6 mos to think on it! This is the most exciting part!

Sounds great! Good luck keeping the secret. It gets even more difficult once ADRs are booked! :)

DH and I are surprising our kiddos (DD10 and DS6) when they get home from their last day of school before Christmas break. Keeping the secret is so difficult! We booked everything over a year ago, and as the date approaches, we're finding it more challenging to keep quiet. We're planning a similar reveal, too. The kids will come home to a wrapped present under the tree. When they open it, Mickey helium balloons will float out and tied to the bottom will be a Pooh Christmas ornament that reads "Surprises indeed are a wonderful thing." Underneath the ornament will be personalized maps and a couple of new guide books. We'll then hop in the car and begin our trip...can't wait! :cool1:
