Suppose you are B2B, not in same room?

Do you leave as a regular passenger after the first part?

We are thinking of MV, then the DVC charter that is the next. The likelihood of same cabin seems very small to me.

One gets booked through DU, but second must be bookedthrough DVC, same day.

Thanks.

On a normal B2B you would have everything packed up and leave the ship with your "day bag" per the instructions for B2B guests that will be provided to you the last night on the ship, leaving the rest of your (packed) bags in your cabin.

Your stateroom host takes care of moving your bags to your new stateroom, and they coordinate with your new stateroom host so that your new stateroom *should* be ready for you when you get back on board.

IN the instructions you are given either a time and place to meet and all the B2Bers go off together, or else a time to be off the ship by and you go off yourself. When you get off you will go through Customs and then security and then back up into the main terminal hall. The computer systems will probably not have turned over yet [they never have yet when we have done B2B] so you will have some time to kill in the hall until they are ready to check you in for the next cruise. We spent the time exploring the nearly empty hall, taking pictures, and sitting relaxing and reading. They were able to give us a copy of the paper navigator [sometimes right away sometimes after a brief delay] so we also read that to occupy our time. Once the computers tun over they will let you know and you can go get checked in for the next cruise. At that point we usually move into the conceirge lounge to wait to be let on early with the other B2Bers.

Our experience: We were told to have our bags ready to be moved by 8:00 am. Our room host was waiting for them at 7:58am. We had to debark the ship (with appropriate ID to check in again in the terminal), and waited about 2 hours to check in and re-board. Our bags were moved to our new room while we were off. We could go back an forth to our new room until such time as the new guests were being boarded, then we had to either stay in our room, or stay away from our room until all rooms were available for everyone.

I suspect that you will have a little less trouble getting the same room on the DVC cruise - at least if the points for a passenger are as atrocious as everyone is anticipating.

Like others, we have done same room and different room B2B cruises. Be sure to communicate this with your stateroom host before the last night. They SHOULD be able to move your stuff to your new room. But also remember to be patient. This new ship will require a lot of new workers, and this could be their first time experiencing it. So know all that you can before you go and help kindly educate as you go along.

Well, for the MV, because of sea days, we would like a veranda. Because I agree that the DVC Cruise, of only 3 days could be outrageous in price, we will go for a less expensive option.

Knowing what you and others have said here, we think we will be OK with our decisions about the type of rooms we will look for.

Thank you.
