Weekend wasn't all that great in terms of eating and running. We slept in late on Saturday so I didn't go out to run until it was 11am and blazing hot and sunny (95 degrees!). I ran 2.5 miles and stopped. Then walked for a while, ran another half a mile, then stopped, then another half, then gave up. I felt HORRIBLE. I was dehydrated majorly and it was just too hot. I need to wake up at like 6:30 on Saturdays to get a run in from now on.
Stuck to my diet until we had a bbq at a friend's house. Only had a turkey burger w/ whole wheat bun and a hot dog but then we went out to a bar and I had two drinks that were not diet friendly. I'm back on track and there's no more ice cream cake in the house from DBF's bday so I'm positive. I'm still 2 lbs heavier than I was before vacation though.
I'm really wondering what my problem is with running now. My first run after vacation was fine, and then the other three (and other workouts) have just been.. bad. I don't know if I should attribute it to not working out for 12 days, the heat, or if it's the diet. I go 3 miles and feel like dying. And during the week my legs feel overall just sore and tired all the time. I may just go to phase 2 and then being strict on the weekends. I really do think that I'd be ok if I got my weekends under control!
