Hi. I'm hoping you can give me some ideas. I am to host our neighborhood supper club in October. I have to provide the main dish for 24 people and direct the others to bring sides, desserts, alcohol, etc.

I'd like for it to be simple and not too expensive (my daughter's bday is a week later, plus Halloween breaks me in my neighborhood!)

Thanks!

I've got an awesome lasagna recipe I clipped from Taste of Home several years ago. You could double it, assemble now and freeze them. You could have people bring salad and bread.....The recipe is good because it tells you exactly how many cups to put on each layer (not just "spread with 1/2 the mixture"). PM me if you'd like it.

I don't have any specific ideas but I get Cooking Light magazine-they have an awesome website. They run articles about supper clubs and post example menus in their magazine so I would guess that you could find it on the website. They are pretty complicated menus sometimes but they might be good for ideas. I think they had cold Italian-type salads once, then there was a Cuban themed month. You might be able to get an idea from there for a theme. Once you have a theme, it might be easier to come up with what others should bring. Have fun!

Lasagna Roll-ups are also a nice option. I make them with a tomato vodka cream sauce. They look very pretty and are a different twist on an old favorite.
