Ha. What is your home resort?I am buying from there lol
Hopefully Baylake Towers! Sent to ROFR 11 days ago, from what I'm hearing it will pass but I don't want to get too excited (even though I clearly amHa. What is your home resort?
I’m already planning on adding on lakeshore lodge in 2027.
BLT would be a good one to have! I’m in the same boat. Bought BWV resale back in May and just bought RIV direct!Hopefully Baylake Towers! Sent to ROFR 11 days ago, from what I'm hearing it will pass but I don't want to get too excited (even though I clearly am) i want to be direct for the perks so Avk or Riv is next on my direct hit list once i snag BLT. I was also thinking about Lakeshore Lodge since that's probably going to be the best deal, but I can't wait until 2027 I want to go now!
Yes we like that it has tons of restaurants. We don't have kids so we like dining in nice restaurants and we loved the buffet, my wife is Mexican and she was surprised and happy by the "mexican" choices they had. Love the music piped into the rooms for fireworks and how close it is. We mostly like to go to holiday events at magic kingdom (the Halloween party is my favorite!) so the proximity is great and we stayed in the refurbished rooms a few weeks ago and we loved the fun vibe. I also think about when I'm old and need a monorailBLT would be a good one to have! I’m in the same boat. Bought BWV resale back in May and just bought RIV direct!
Hey hey so which resort has your favorite studio room, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom and why? I've only stayed in studios at AKV Kidani and Jambo, CCV, Bay Lake, Grand Californian and GF. Favorite view for me would have to be at grand californian theme park view and favorite room alone would be the refurbished bay lake!
I think you secretly miss meNo wonder why r/dvcmember has been so quiet the past couple of days! hahaha
Did not know poly studio had two bathrooms, that awesome! I'm hoping to stay there in September. I might not ever get to stay in the cabin or bungalows with the amount of points required, but do you think it's worth the extra points?Favorite studio: Poly. Love the size of the rooms, theming, and double bathrooms.
1BR: Riviera. Great layout, room size, subtle Disney touches
2BR: Technically Copper Creek cabins and poly bungalows fit in this so I'd go with the cabins. If I'm not able to pick those then it's a tougher choice. Maybe a TPV at BLT? Maybe a TPV at Poly tower? There's too many options that I like![]()
Bungalows probably aren't worth that much. I'd rather stay in a grand villa somewhere if I was going to blow that many points. We booked a single night in a bungalow for our wedding but we're using it as more of a hub to watch MK fireworks. Cabin is probably worth trying at least once.Did not know poly studio had two bathrooms, that awesome! I'm hoping to stay there in September. In answering your original question, I believe Riviera was originally priced at $188 and with incentives, you could get it in the $160s. Our first purchase didn’t qualify for the incentives, so we paid $188. We then added on a small quantity at I believe $204. Added on again and with incentives, paid about $190. We went on a DVC cruise and they made us an offer we couldn’t refuse, paying $166 with incentives. So they do make incentives that match the original

Definitely... the problem is the amount of points it takes and how many others want to as well.Would love to try the cabin during Christmas time![]()
We were at VGF this year on NYE and they had some fun activities planned outside - there was a dance party with a DJ, hats/noisemakers, some treats. When we were there it was still early-ish (10 PM) and there were still a lot of kiddos. We didn’t stay until midnight but I’m assuming the festivities continued. Here's another QOTD for y'all:
Do the resorts do something special for the holidays aside from decorations? Obviously the parks do, but for example, if I stayed during New Year at BLT would there be some kind of New Year event at Villains LAIR maybe or other offerings at the resort? I notice New Year is very popular, but I wouldn't just want to sit in my hotel room or if the parks are anything like Disneyland on that day, I wouldn't want to go there either! Maybe Disney Springs or Boardwalk does something cool![]()
