Has anyone seen this movie? I watched it over the weekend and it made me feel ill!!! I would only eat at McDonalds as a last resort but after watching this movie I would rather starve!!! :crazy2:

I agree. It certainly made me think about eating at MacDonalds. Couldn't believe what the diet did to his health.

It's a must watch though,
Andy

I wonder what he would be like if he had eaten nothing but salad for a month ? :

:rotfl2:

I think if you take any diet to the extreme it will have a detrimental effect on you.

Having a McDs as a treat once or twice a month does no harm, but having one everyday will in the long term cause major health problems - common sense really, didn't need some bloke making a whole lot of bucks to prove it :)

This is definitely on my "to see" list.

I do totally agree with Tim's comments though - anything is okay in moderation.

If you ate nothing but apples for a month you would also be ill!! Its about having a balanced diet.

Everyone knows that McD is a treat.. its not food to be eaten at every meal every day.. dont they?

An interesting sequel to this movie would be to try to eat at McD's every day using their "healthy options" menu and trying to eat as many different items possible to maintain a balanced diet - would you be able to maintain a "healthy" diet?
Would anyone try this?
No - because it wouldn't sell would it?

People who open a packet and put it in the oven or microwave seem to think they are "cooking at home" - try taking a look at what is contained in that packet.

Don't buy this movie - you only put dollars in an idiot's pocket - IMHO
(I rented it so I'm no better !) ......LOL.......

I also have to agree with Tim. Having a Mcds once or twice a month isn't going to harm you. I have seen this film and it didn't shock me what the diet did to his body. If you eat the much fat in your diet everyday for a whole month then your going put your body through a hard time.

It is all part of eating a healthy ballanced diet and treat every now and then does you good :mickeybar

Its was good to watch.

Michelle

Totally agree that everything is OK in moderation!! What really grossed me out was the chicken nuggets- it seems they are made from everything but chicken!! Even the salads they advertise as healthy are full of fat!!!!

I know what you are all saying is true re: balanced diet etc but I cannot bring myself to eat in McDonalds (or burger king!) since watching the movie, and it's been some time now!!!! It really put me off big time.

Wheezie

It's not just the 30-day gimmick in this movie, it is also all the information about advertising to small children, and inflating portion sizes over the years. There are so many issues here.

Sorry to Disney so involved with this corporation.
