Why is SuperShuttle $4 less than the DLR Express eventhough it's a van and not a bus?

Will we have to wait for the van to fill up before leaving the airport?

Will the shuttle go to DLR hotels first?

Can anyone give me a short description of their experience with SuperShuttle?

We got SuperShuttle because it's what our AAA travel agent booked. Should I have opted for DLR Express instead?

TIA! :thumbsup2

I never rode it before but i been reading a lot of comments about the supershuttle. for one, they will drop people off, even if its somewhere far like Arcadia and such. Id suggest you take the Disneyland shuttle. for only $4 more, it will take you directly there without any other destination.

but im not expert at this, i live so darn close to Disneyland :)

I have not taken Super Shuttle from LAX but did take it in DC and it took me two hours to get where I was going. The van filled up quickly, but they dropped people off EVERYWHERE, VA, MD and DC. i was thinking to take them from LAX BUT I am afraid of driving around too many places and taking hours to get there. . . I wish the Disneyland bus were free like Magical Express is! But I guess this way they offer it to everyone.

We did Super Shuttle and because of our party size, there were only 2 other parties. They only seat about 10 people. We didn't have to wait long for the shuttle (maybe 10 minutes) and were the first stop on both of our trips. On the way back, though, we did have to stop at 2 other hotels, which wasn't a big deal, except that our driver didn't turn the air on and this was July 2nd!! I don't have any experience with the Disney bus to compare. While SS wasn't completely ideal, I would use it again if I had to.

The above poster have pretty much covered it, it can be a very length trip with a number of stops unless you have an “Exclusive Van” which is usually parties of 8 or more.

A different opinion. We used supershuttle LAX 3 times in 2006. Each time it was just 2 of us. Once the van dropped of 2 people in a neighborhood on the way to DL, this took about an extra 15 minutes. They seemed very efficient at getting folks on the vans that are headed in the same direction. The other 2 times we used it all on board were headed for hotels in the DL area. We like using this shuttle.

We used super shuttle from SNA to our hotel on S Harbor Blvd. We only waited a few minutes to leave the airport. I think there were about 4 groups in our shuttle, all going to the Disneyland area. They probably modify their route to maximize efficiency ie) drop people off from starting at one end of Harbor Blvd and keep on trucking til the shuttle is empty. No preference is given to Disney hotel guests. It honestly was pretty quick. I'd use it again.

LOVED Supershuttle. We were a party of 7 one way and 5 the other. We got the private van rate of $47 each way. Both times our van was ready and waiting for us at the right time. We had a wheelchair accessible van and everything went perfect. It was so nice walking out of the airport and having our van waiting at the curb. We will defintely use them again.

OK will the disneyland shuttle take you to a hotel on Harbor? Will they drop you off at the shuttle stops on Harbor by the main pedistrian entrence?OR only take you to the Disneyland hotels, GC or PP and you would have to walk across the street with all your junk to your hotel on Harbor?
I am toying with going by myself for a quick trip in October to see the new subs after the crowds die off and if I can fly cheap and stay cheap across the street I think i will do it.

any info.

I have only used SS one time when I had to go to Long Beach from SNA. They did group the DL people and they went to 3 different hotels before my long trip up. It was ok but took a long time.

For info I was looking at the anaheimoc.org website and if you go under vistors and then coupons you can get $2 off per person each way. That would save a bit.

I took supershuttle on my vacation and it wasnt bad, actually it was really fun....

It was just my mom and I on a Disneyland trip, and once we got to the airport, grabbed our luggage and went out to the super shuttle station, we got put into a van which held another family going to a disneyland area hotel as well (They categorize you into a van that goes into the same area). As soon as the van is full it takes off to the hotels that you are staying at. The van fills up fast. I noticed that vans were constantly coming and going and people were always piling into them. We didnt wait any more then 10 minutes to fill up the van, have the driver put the luggage in the back and get us on our way.

Granted we made 2 stop along the way, but they were fast drop offs and we got to our hotel in no time.

The family we got put into the van with was just as excited as we were to get to disneyland, and we were able to share our excitement. They gave us some great tips on things to see and where to eat and such. It was a great experience. We got off the plane, grabbed supershuttle, made a few stops, got to our hotel and was in the park within an hour and 20 minutes. Would I take supershuttle again???? YES!

We are considering using them on our next trip. We only need a return trip to LAX and would be leaving about 4 AM. Do you think there will be a lot of people traveling at that time?

Thanks for the advice. :goodvibes

No what you do is you call supershuttle and say "I want to be picked up at my hotel at this time on this day so I can get to LAX".

And they do pick you up at your desired time and will bring you to LAX. It is very simple. ;)

We had a really early flight when we left Disneyland too. There was one other person on the shuttle with us and he had been picked up first.

Don't know why super shuttle is cheaper.

I can tell you we have used both the super shuttle van and their private car service many times, many different cities where it is offered. The service has always been fantastic. We never had to have anyone else in the van with us..and it was always straight to/from wherever we were going.

I took Supershuttle from SNA to Fairfield on S. Harbor Blvd. I was the first one on the shuttle and we left after a few more parties were on board. I was the 2nd stop and the ride was smooth. I paid $10 each way and was very happy with the choice. I saw the Disneyland Resort Express bus at the airport next to Supershuttles and they stayed there forever until they were full.

Does the Disney express pick you up at LAX? I am looking into flying in either at John Wayne, or LAX. For some reason it looks like flying into LAX is cheaper than John Wayne. It's running about 600 and up for a 5 hour flight to John Wayne, so I am weighing all options. We would be staying at a disney resort, and don't really need a car since we will only be going to DL.

I used Supershuttle in June. We waited a little while, not too long though. There were 4 in our party. There was just one other person in our van. We were dropped off first at GCH. Our airport was SNA (orange county, I think). It was rush hour, so it took a little while. I was very happy with the service. On the way back we shared a van with other family, party of 7. We are going again this June & will be using Supershuttle again.

Anyone heard of this company for shuttle transportation from the airport. They were actually cheaper to book than super shuttle. Just wondering about anyone elses experiences.
