Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I don't have time for individual replies right now but I wanted to let you all know that move went really well. I'm extremely exhausted and was up half of last night, I think it was anxiety and nerves about everything going smoothly. While I was waiting for the movers and Marc to arrive at the new apartment, I took out my camera to take some "before" pictures...and I didn't have a memory card. D'oh! :rotfl2: Hopefully I will have some pictures up either tomorrow night or Sunday sometime! :goodvibes

So glad to hear the move went smoothly! I hope you are able to enjoy unpacking and don't find it too stressful. In ways I love moving and unpacking, "starting fresh", and in other ways it's so annoying living half out of boxes and unpacking taking up all your free time!

I'm looking forward to the pics when you get that far!

So glad your move went smoothly. :goodvibes Hope you got some extra rest last night. And three cheers :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: that your internet works!:rotfl:
Yes, I was very happy thatmy internet was working! ;)

Hey LL! Just getting caught up on your PTR. I can't believe how much everything's changed! It's nice to hear that your Mom will be joining you for part of your trip. That will be really nice. :goodvibes We also stayed at ASMu a couple of years ago right after it was refurbed and enjoyed it. Also, Jiko is our favorite restaurant so that was a great choice as well! I'm sure you'll have a great time! I hope your move goes well and I can't wait to hear about everything when you get back. And now I'll leave you with some light fixture porn from coral reef:

Hey! Nice to hear from you again. I'm really excited to stay at ASMu, I think it's going to be really nice. I love the idea of seeing a new Disney Resort.

Love the light fixture pic! Thanks! :goodvibes

We have de-cluttered a lot. I think my living room looks really empty but I know it won't stay that way for long! :lmao:

I have apartment pictures!

You can still see some of the boxes in the bedroom. It's not such a disaster area but you don't get to see pictures of that. LOL.

There you have it!! I'm going to do a Disney update.....right now!

I LOVE your apartment!!! It looks so sunny and cozy and homey already! :worship: Much more so than my house and I've lived here for >5 years! I'm so happy for you! :goodvibes

Glad to see the countdown calendar has a place of prominence (sp?). And the computer in the corner... is that where you are when you're DIS'ing?

Congratulations on your new place. It looks fantastic! :)

Your new apartment looks GREAT! It is so bright and cheerful. I love the wall of Disney pictures in your dining room! Also, we have the same chandelier/light fixture as you in our dining room. Great taste!

What kind of cat do you have? He's beautiful!:goodvibes

You are one organized lady, pictures up and everything! Looks so nice. Glad to see the kitties like it as well.

LL everything looks great, so fresh and cozy! You do a wonderful job with wall arrangements! I need to borrow you.......:goodvibes I just love your new dining set:goodvibes.:lovestruc
Congratulations on the new apartment!!!

I rewarded myself with a call to Disney today after all of my hard work moving this weekend. Man, I am sore! I'm giving myself tomorrow to rest then training for the Princess 1/2 Marathon will begin on Tuesday! :thumbsup2

Anyhoo. My Mom decided between three TS places for her Mother's Day ADR.

*Hollywood Brown Derby
*Whispering Canyon Cafe
*Kona Cafe

I was shocked at her choices, I guess we are more alike than I thought. Jen and I were supposed to go to WCC but in favor of saving some money we had canceled that one. Jen & I are eating at Brown Derby for lunch but I am more than happy to go their twice.

While at lunch yesterday, My Mom asked Marc his opinions. We had ruled at WCC earlier because Mom has been having problems with indigestion lately and thought WCC might trigger that and she doesn't want to feel ill at Disney. Marc told her both were really good and that she couldn't go wrong at either place. Mom thought I wanted to go to Kona Cafe but I really wanted to go to Brown Derby, that way I can try something new at lunch and then have my Salmon Polenta at dinner. I didn't tell her that though because I truly wanted her to decide. She hemmed and hawed and told me she couldn't decide so to just pick one of the two. I briefly contemplated booking breakfast at Kona but when I looked over our itinerary, I just didn't want to fool around with that.

So what did I book today?

Hollywood Brown Derby but of course! I think Mom will really love it and it seems "fancier" and a fun choice for us. Plus we can briefly see Hollywood Studios because we weren't planning significant if any time there.

I was on the phone with dining for quite a bit of time. I had some old ADRs to cancel (WCC, LTT, my second CP breakfast, etc.), I also added Mom to the Crystal Palace ADR on Friday the 29th.

Then I had the wonderful CM confirm my other ADRs. Everything is set. It did pain me to cancel Jiko, I plan to go there on my next trip for sure. :thumbsup2

After that, I called Disney again so I could change my address and confirm my Magical Express information. The CM told me that I still had my December trip booked! :lmao: I know I called to cancel that and they had moved that money over to my May trip but still. I thought it was funny. No wonder Disney was sending me planning information for December.

So everything is set and I only have 47 more days! On the other side of this move for us, Disney feels so very close! :yay:

I did tweak our itinerary a bit with making our Brown Derby ADR too. Here is the new and improved one, I am going to start with my solo days after Jen leaves because those have stayed the same. :thumbsup2 I'm not following TourGuide Mike's advice as much now but I've decided that I really enjoy the EMH's and if Mom is too tired I can always enjoy them myself.

Monday
*Jen & I will be spending the day at Hollywood Studios, she will be leaving around 3PM
*I'm not sure if I will stay at DHS, I am thinking that I will want to see something else so I have a few options.
*Stay at DHS, greet characters?
*Take boat to Boardwalk, Beaches N' Cream for dinner?
*Head to Epcot & World Showcase it up.
*EMH Evening Hours at AK. If I had Jen drop me off at AKL, I could explore the Lodge and then head to AK. I am liking this plan...a lot.

Tuesday
*I think I will start out at DHS at rope drop. Get my fill and head to whatever park I am feeling.
*My other choice would be to head to MK for 8AM for the Morning EMH's and then to another park.
*Break at ASMu.
*Back to Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic. I really want to see this show twice. Once to enjoy, Twice to take pictures. :thumbsup2
*Epcot is having Evening EMH's until midnight, I might head over there if I am feeling good after Spectro.

Wednesday
*Head to DHS so I can grab some fastpasses for Mom & I in the evening. Does anyone know if they are strict about the return times there?
*Depending on how quickly Mom lands (she bought her plane tickets today!) I might hit up MK again solo.
*Meet Mom at ASMu
*Grab some lunch either at ASMu or Epcot.
*Dinner at Brown Derby
*Evening EMH's at DHS from 7-10PM

Thursday
*Animal Kingdom at Rope Drop
*Break at ASMu
*Epcot, again Evening EMH's. I hope Mom can last that late!

Friday
*Early morning breakfast at Crystal Palace. With adding Mom I was also able to get an earlier time of 8:05 instead of 8:30! I am very happy about that.
*Magic Kingdom
*Break at ASMu
*Epcot
*Then Evening EMH's at Magic Kingdom

Saturday
*Depending on how tired we are...rope drop at Epcot
*Say Goodbye to Magic Kingdom
*Back to ASMu to catch Magical Express. :sad2:

Yay! I am so excited!!

Only 47 Days!!!

Congratulations on your new place. It looks fantastic! :)
It is really 100 times better than our old apartment. It's so bright and airy and it's so awesome. I am DISing where the computer is. I love that I can see the TV and I can look outside. It's so wonderful!! :lovestruc

Your new apartment looks GREAT! It is so bright and cheerful. I love the wall of Disney pictures in your dining room! Also, we have the same chandelier/light fixture as you in our dining room. Great taste!

What kind of cat do you have? He's beautiful!:goodvibes
The light fixture came with the apartment, I was pretty impressed because a lot of the time stuff like that is not the nicest but I love it!

That is my Sully kitty. He's a big fluffy orange cat, the vet told me at one time that he was part Maine Coon Cat and that is why he is so big. My other kitty Ruby has been hiding. I'll have to get some new pictures of them to post. :thumbsup2

You are one organized lady, pictures up and everything! Looks so nice. Glad to see the kitties like it as well.
I try. Marc did an awesome job today getting our bedroom unpacked. I haven't done much today so I really appreciate that he's kept going!

LL everything looks great, so fresh and cozy! You do a wonderful job with wall arrangements! I need to borrow you.......:goodvibes I just love your new dining set:goodvibes.:lovestruc
Congratulations on the new apartment!!!
HaHaHa! My mom did the arrangement. I "booked" her as soon as I knew our move in date, she does it wonderfully. I gave her free range and she did an awesome job, I love it! While my Dad was putting one of the chairs together, he broke the arm. :rotfl2: So the two chairs that were supposed to have arms are no armless like the other two. :lmao:

Wow! You've had a busy weekend...moving, Disney replanning, moving!! Your new dining table looks great in the dining room! I can't believe you already have pictures hung! My Mom was always like that! When we would move, by that night you'd have though we lived there for years!:rotfl:

I LOVE the mickey shower curtain. It's sooo cute! I like how it is Disney, but not POW, in your face Disney, KWIM?;)

I'm glad you were able to get the ADR you wanted for you and your Mom. How fun!

Ohhhh I love seeing pictures of other people's homes! I seriously can't wait until I get my own place (maybe once I finally get a fulltime job...). The Mickey shower curtain looks great! And that gnome Mickey windchime is adorable.

I also noticed your countdown calendar...it's almost all uncovered!:banana:

You are one organized lady. :thumbsup2 Have you enjoyed any meals at that beautiful dining room set yet? If so, you must describe your meal to the smallest detail (unless it involves spaghetti....;))

You're right, the time is just going to fly by now that the move is out of the way. :goodvibes

Glad your mom decided on a restaraunt. Sounds like a good plan!:thumbsup2

Oh, LL, your new apartment is great!!! I can't believe how settled in you are already -- you are a moving dynamo! The dining room table looks fantastic and the Mickey bathroom is great!!! Looks like Sulley has adjusted well.

Yeay for Brown Derby -- I think your mom will love it there -- of course, I have never been inside (yet), but judging by your descriptions...she will love it. :goodvibes

Love the new apartment!
Is Ruby still hiding??
The new DR table looks great, and I love love love all the picures there!

:yay:yay for Brown Derby:yay:

I think your new plan looks perfect.... I'd have Jen drop me off at AKL too;)

Paula

Great update! I booked HBD for our first dinner on your recommendation......... I'm really excited to try it out!:goodvibes

Wow can you come help ME move?!?! We moved to this house 5 years ago and I still have boxes in the basement :rotfl2: Which works out well since we are house hunting. One less thing I have to pack :lmao:

It's been VERY busy and I can't believe that I have to go to work tomorrow. I think I need at least one more day to recover.

I totally understand what you are saying about the Mickey shower curtain. I didn't want anything in your face that screamed LESLIE IS A DISNEY FREAK. :rotfl2: I think it's subtle and nice. I am going to get some colored hand towels and I think my soap and toothbrush holder match very nciely!

Your plans look great!! And hurrah for 47 more days... that is practically around the corner!! :cheer2:
It really is right around the corner. It's so exciting. I am hoping to go through my Disney stuff this week to figure out what I need. My Mom thinks I should just bring a carry on but I think that is insanity to think that I get that much stuff in an inky little carry on! :lmao:

Ohhhh I love seeing pictures of other people's homes! I seriously can't wait until I get my own place (maybe once I finally get a fulltime job...). The Mickey shower curtain looks great! And that gnome Mickey windchime is adorable.

It really is almost uncovered! I couldn't believe it today. I've had that wind chime just sitting around since September so I loved being able to hang it up yesterday.

You are one organized lady. :thumbsup2 Have you enjoyed any meals at that beautiful dining room set yet? If so, you must describe your meal to the smallest detail (unless it involves spaghetti....;))

No meals yet. When Marc & Dad were putting it together, they used a bit of wood glue in the joints to make it a bit stronger so we will be enjoying our first meal tomorrow, which is fitting since it's Marc's birthday.
The funny thing is that we had Spaghetti tonight and when I asked Marc if he would cook it I mentioned my Spaghetti indiscretion. :lmao:

We did A LOT of work this weekend. I think it went even better than I thought. Sully has adjusted well, I was more worried about him but it was Ruby who has been a nervous wreck. I have heard her meow more in the last three days then I have heard her meow in the almost two years that we have had her!
Love the new apartment!
Is Ruby still hiding??
The new DR table looks great, and I love love love all the picures there!

:yay:yay for Brown Derby:yay:

Paula
Doesn't it look great? I am really happy with the way everything turned out. I did fight Mom and Marc about my pin corkboard. I wanted it in my desk area but it just didn't "gel" with the rest of the living room. ;)
I think having some Zebra Domes from Mara and looking at light fixtures would be wonderful before heading over to AK for EMH's!

Great update! I booked HBD for our first dinner on your recommendation......... I'm really excited to try it out!:goodvibes
It's really delicious. I think it just feels "special" if that makes sense. :confused3 I think I was just meant to be a Hollywood Starlet. ;)

Wow can you come help ME move?!?! We moved to this house 5 years ago and I still have boxes in the basement :rotfl2: Which works out well since we are house hunting. One less thing I have to pack :lmao:
No thank you but I should have had you come down to help unpack! :rotfl2:

I will be planning to run into you after our meal at HBD.......cause we are heading back to MK!

My Mickey is on the left...Minnie on the right:goodvibes

That's why I became a pharmacist.... not many medical professions that you DON'T need to worry about body fluids...really helped narrow down my options:rotfl2:

Paula

Too funny..... the reversed mickey and minnie AND your distaste for bodily fluids! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

LL: so glad your move went well. Now I have to go back and read the updates. :flower3:
