Whatcha all going to be snacking on during the game? I am going to try this dip that was in the USA weekend:

Warm Jalapeño Cheese Dip

1 12-ounce can evaporated milk
2 Tbs. butter
3 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
8 ounces (2 cups) shredded pepper Jack cheese
1 cup prepared salsa
2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice(from 1 lemon)
Salt and ground black pepper

Microwave milk in a 1-quart Pyrex measuring cup until steamy. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and turmeric until smooth, then whisk in milk until creamy and thick. Whisk in cheese. (Dip can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 3 days.) When ready to serve, return cheese sauce to saucepan; stir in salsa and lemon juice, and slowly rewarm. Adjust seasonings, including salt and pepper to taste, and serve.

Serves 24
makes 3 cups

I was put in charge of the baked Salami. Luckily it is super easy to make.

1 whole salami; (whatever size you want, at least 1 pound)
12 oz. apricot preserves
1 tablespoon regular yellow mustard
1 tablespoon honey mustard
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

In a bowl combine the preserves and mustards. Mix well. Preheat oven to 350. Score the salami, end to end, in several places to allow fat to drain while cooking. Foil line a shallow baking dish and place salami on top of the foil. Cover the salami with sauce and bake, turning occasionally, until charred on all sides (between 45 min. to an hour). Continually baste and turn throughout cooking to ensure even charring. Once done, cut into bite-size chunks and serve with dipping sauce (I usually make two servings of sauce - one to baste and one to dip) and toothpicks

I just made:

Oyster Crackers
1 12-16 ounces box of oyster crackers
½ - ¾ cup oil
handful of Parmesan cheese
1 package/envelope of dry ranch style dressing
¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon dill
couple cloves of garlic, finely chopped

Mix all ingredients together. Pour in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 250 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring once.

and

Faux Brittle
Ingredients: saltine crackers (at least one sleeve)
2 sticks of butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
12 ounce bag of chocolate chips
1 can mix nuts - chop these up!

Place (salted-tops) saltine crackers evenly on the bottom of a cookie sheet – try not to leave any blank spots. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan until it simmers and the sugar melts. Pour the sugar syrup over the crackers – spoon over the sides and edges to completely cover the crackers – try to do this evenly. Cook in the oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly (watch carefully). Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top - cook 5 minutes more in the oven. Take out of the oven and spread the chocolate out and sprinkle the hopped nuts on top. Cool completely and then
cut it up (it will break up somewhat unevenly).

I think I'm going to make some chicken salad tomorrow since I have some kaiser rolls. I already havea pasta salad made.

This sounds great!
Did you use fresh garlic? Do you think garlic flakes would work? :confused3

I'm making Rafikifan's Sausage Won Ton Cups!

and an easy dip I call "White Pizza Dip" just because it reminds me of those pizzas with no tomato sauce with basil and tomatoes.

Place one brick of cream cheese on a plate. Spoon 2 or 3 of tablespoons of jarred pesto in top of it, I like the Classico brand. The add a few teaspoons of chopped garlic and top with a couple of handfuls of shredded mozzarella cheese. Microwave for 1 - 1.5 minutes until soft and mozzarella melts.

Top with diced, fresh tomatoes and serve with pita chips. I entered this in the Philadelphia cream cheese recipe contest. It didn't win anything, but I make it alot, it's very good! :thumbsup2

Dyan, funny you mention garlic. I forgot to put it in last night! Ironically I am sitting here now eating some of the crackers, & they are fine without the garlic. I only have fresh garlic (bulbs of garlic) in the house. Also, I fell in love with sesame oil last fall at the Food & Wine Festival, so the oil in the recipe is a combination of whatever - canola, olive & sesame oils.

Pizza Dip
Pizza sauce
Shredded mozzarella cheese
8 oz softened cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/8 tsp of crushed red pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder (I use much more 1-2 tsp)
1 tsp oregano
1/2 cup each chopped onion, red or green pepper (or both), pepperoni

Blend with mixer - cream cheese, sour cream, oregano, garlic, red pepper.
Spread evenly in quiche dish.
Cover with pizza sauce. Sprinkle with pepperoni, peppers, and onion.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake 5 more minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with nacho chips.

This is Yummy!!! I make it every year.
