Dh just said he heard that we might be getting a Super Target really close to my house. I absolutely love Target, so I am sure I will really love a Super Target. Please tell me about it, I have never been in one.

If you have a Super Wal-Mart it is about the same but I find sometimes the prices are lower at the Super Target.
There is the grocery side, the general merchandise side and the garden section.
I have not had much need on the garden section so I can't compare it to anything. I have used the grocery and general merchandise section and I love both. The clothing section is the only section I find less than acceptable but that is just a personal observation, I am sure others love Target's clothes.
I have found the stores immaculate and the staff very accomadating and pleasant.
The best feature of a Super Target is the "Need Help" button. You go push the button and it will tell you how long it will be before someone can help you. I have never had to wait more than two minutes. At Wal-Mart you are lucky if you don't have to call in the National Gaurd to find someone to help you.
I don't know what else to say about it except that you will be finding yourself go to Super Target more often than to the Wal-Mart.

Great prices on cereal and some staples. I don't really like their produce. It seems to go bad very quickly.

I was just there today. It's great when you need groceries and household stuff. It's one stop shopping.

Yeah, we have 3 new Super Walmarts that have opened with in the last year and a half. There is a small Super Walmart close by the site they are supposedly to clearing for the Super Target, but it is not a "real" Super Walmart by any means. I told DH that a Super Target in that area will surely close down that crappy Walmart.

We have a Publix close by and I love to shop there because it is never crowded, but they are expensive, so we do most of our shopping at Walmart. As large as our area is, I don't know why we don't have more grocery shopping options. All we have is Walmart, Piggly Wiggly (most are run down), Winn Dixie (higher than Publix and dirty) and Publix. When I was growing up, we had several more options, but those stores went out of business.

I really like the convenience of Walmart, but I just dont really like them. I loved our Commissary, but DH is out of the service now and I can't use it, UGH. I don't garden and I don't buy clothes at Walmart. I do buy clothes at Target for my cousins children, and my DH and sometimes sis for myself, until I got too big. I know I have read about the online coupons for use at Super Target and that would be great, cause we hardly ever get coupons in our paper.

Well, I sure hope this rumor is true.

We have a supertarget that just opened in the area. You park on the main floor and take an escalator up to the second floor to shop. There's a special escalator that takes your shopping cart up for you.

I love shopping at target and I hope to go to it in the next week or two.

Oh, I think I would have to run over there sooner than that. I love just wandering through Target. I even find lots of stuff on their clearance aisle. I love it when they have clearance on those bonus packs of stuff throughout the year.

We have a Super Target in the next city over from us. Their brand, Archer Farms, has a number of products that are more upscale and tasty than regular brands...for example, their veggie eggrolls are really good.

They also sell miniature hot dogs on buns and hamburger sliders in the frozen section. My kids really like these and can warm them in the microwave on their own.

So. What I'm saying is if you see something from Archer Farms on it in the store that you think sounds yummy, try it.

Hey Suzanne!

Is the Super Target supposed to be built in Phenix city or Columbus? They should just build it here in Auburn.:goodvibes

War Eagle!

I went to the 2-story Target today, I couldn't wait another week. It wasn't anything special. :guilty: The kids did have fun on the escalator, but other than that, it was just an ordinary target. I guess I was expecting fireworks or a marching band or something.

It would be nice in the winter time because you park under the store, then you don't have to clean the snow off your car when you leave.

Phenix City on 280 just past Home Depot. They are clearing some land there. DH is the second person that has told me it was going to be a Super Target. It would put that pitiful Walmart to shame. I won't even go in there anymore and I just live practically around the corner.

No, they can't build it in Auburn, although ya'll do have the better Target. The one in Columbus is not really nice anymore, they aren't taking care of it.

we're getting a Super Target when a nearby 50 year old mall re-opens (extensive renovations going on, new parking garage) - can't wait!!
