Does Soap weekend start on Friday...does the crowds affect the rides?

The official weekend starts Saturday, but hold onto your hats, ladies - Luke and Laura are appearing at MGM on Friday! OK, if you didn't watch General Hospital 25 years ago, you might not remember the Ice Princess story, and THE Wedding (it was as big as Charles and Diana, I kid you not!). Anyway, this is their first appearance together in decades, and it'll happen at MGM on Friday.

SSW people don't care about rides, by the way, so ToT and RnR to your hearts content !

Just got the ABC Weekly Soap Email and it just said that Tristan Rodgers (Robert Scorpio) was added to the Luke and Laura Day on Friday 11/10! Sounds cool to me! Just have to convince grandma and grandpa to watch the kidlets so I can go see Robert, Luke and Laura!

Nov. 11 and 12th at MGM Studios and the "list" is on the DIS HOME page and on ABC.com. This will be my 8th year going, and am very excited about Luke and Laura being there on Friday Nov. 10th. Actually if you check your Airline rates, you can get some "bargains" this time of year, book an on site hotel and you can take Magical Express from the Airport to your Hotel.

I remember they did a smaller version in DCA a few years back, I loved it! They also had a ABC prime time preview at DCA and we saw Jim Belushi and his band perform.

Can someone post a link to the schedule of events on Fri 11/10? We aren't soap people (but did see Susan Lucci out to dinner last time) and were planning to be at MGM that day. Please tell me the Stars & Cars parade will still go on!!!!!

I know the regular parade will NOT happen on Sat & Sunday but not sure about Friday - I think it will still go on. On the park hours/events over at disneyworld.com they are not showing the parade listed for only S & S.

Why are Luke and Laura so beloved? Tell me a brief history of their story?

Did they just ride off into the sunset together? Why is their reunion such a big deal?

JC Butterfly, Luke and Laura is one of the hottest, most beloved and well respected couple in Soaps. They have always had this really deep connection -- one that will stay forever. Like all soap couples they have had their ups and downs but when they get to be together it is so real. And the big whoopla going on right now is that Laura has been in catatonic state for the past 4 years, forcing her and Luke to not be together but yesterday at the end of the episdoe she called out to Luke...it was amazing. I had chills through my whole body -- I can't wait for today to see what happens. Did anyone else enjoy it as much as I did?

And I really wish that I could go to Super Soap weekend -- would do anything to see Luke and Laura in person. That is super exciting. Yall have to get pictures of them and post them up. And this is such a special year to go -- 25 year celebration, wow! I bet it will be special. Will you get autographs and send to me?
