Super Soap Weekend at MGM

We decided that even though we are not into the Soap Stars we would take our chances and go to MGM on Saturday of that weekend anyway. From everything I have read, this event does not seem to affect the attractions. I am wondering though if the show schedules stay the same and if the parade will still feature all the disney characters that my kids love. We really have no interest in seeing a parade of only soap stars.

I've been there twice when Soap Opera weekend was being held. The park is crowded but not the attractions. Most of the women there are groupies for the soap opera fans. The parade as I remember was of the soap opera stars and gets really jammed.
