Okay, I've been using the search and doing some research, but I still have some questions:

With the coupon code UYR59 for $3 off or the code Z4M3D for up to $6 off from the Anaheim OC coupon link, I think Super Shuttle is the cheapest. Someone said that they booked each member of their family individually to get the best rate, but I am not sure how that would work. On the site it says $35 for the first passenger, and $9 for each one after that?

Also, if it does end up working, should I book each person individually for each leg of the trip? For example, I have two adults that need a ride from the airport to the hotel, and then back from the hotel to the airport. Would I have four reservations?

Any tips or things you are entering in differently when you book would be appreciated. Also, Park Vue doesn't show up on their drop down list of hotels. Has anyone had this be a problem before with getting the best rate possible?

Thanks!

Not to put too big a wrench in your plans, but the last time I traveled from SNA to Disneyland I booked a town car through the website Limos.com. It was great. There were 4 of us and we saved about $45 round trip over the shuttle, they came at the exact times we needed, and they provided car seats. I'd do it again. The company we used was Limozitos - http://www.limozitos.com/. It wasn't as fancy as the term "towncar" leads you to expect, but it was what we needed at the price we wanted and was clean and convenient and the car seats were fantastic.

To add on to PP... Our family of 6 people.. took a mini cab from SNA to hotel at a cost of $45. plus tip .. it would have cost more on the shuttle as the cheapest I found was something like $10 per person..
it depends on the size of your group.. if only two people then the shuttle is the way to go... 5 or more people I would take the cabs..

we got the cabbies card for the return trip.. called them the morning we were leaving and they arrived on time and again it was $45. to return ..

Just to throw my 2 cents in.... I'm a big fan of super shuttle, but that is for just DW and myself. I would probably look at a cab or town car as well if I was traveling with a party of your size. Unfortunately, I dont have answers for your other questions. :confused3Sorry

I have to agree with a PP and say that if there are two of you, then Shuttle it, anything over 2 people I say Cab it. Here is my experiences over the MANY MANY YEARS of going to Disneyland.

FROM AIRPORT - TO HOTEL
If you Super Shuttle it, be prepared to share a van with another family or other individuals if there are only a few of you in your party. Also be prepared to drop other people off first before you. Generally they are going in your direction, but if you have reservations, or are wanting to just get some where, then I would suggest taking a cab. A cab has ALWAYS quoted me $40 to get to my hotel, and with tip its about $45. Cabs are a great way to travel to just get you there with no stops.

HOTEL - BACK TO AIRPORT
I generally now just go with a cab back to the airport, as there is usually 4-5 of us in a party traveling and for $10 a person, then the cab is covered, as again I am quoted another $45 with tip (I have never paid more then $45 with tip to or from the Disneyland area). However we have also used Super Shuttle on the way back to the airport. Other people may have had a different experience, but when you call to make Super Shuttle reservations, they ask you for your flight schedule, and they pick you up and take you to the airport with plenty of time with no other pick ups or drop offs along the way.

I would however suggest Super Shuttle to you both directions if there are only two of you and you have no place to be immediately. Its the cheaper option. But if you dont mind paying the extra little bit of money, you will be garaunteed with a cab either way to just GET THERE!

First of all, I need to say that this ONLY works between SNA and DLR. Other airports are a different story.

I'm probably the one who told you to book each person separately. It's very easy to do, and with 2 people you will save a lot of money over a cab or town car. Figure $50 each way for a cab, including tax, and $35 for 2 on SS, including tax.

On the Super Shuttle website, put in your RT for each person. That will mean only 2 reservations. You will still be put on the same shuttle etc. Be sure to put in the hotel name to get the correct fare, not a zip code. When you finish the first reservation, go back to the beginning and do it again. Most of the things you put in the first time will already be saved (at least on my computer).

I've used this method many times and have been traveling several times a year for many years. When my whole family goes, we take a cab, but when it's 2 of us (or just me) I use SS. Since I discovered the flat rate taxi voucher you can request if staying onsite, I often make a one-way reservation on SS from the airport to the hotel and take a cab back unless it's just me. The voucher gives you a rate of $32 plus tip to SNA and you can just walk out of the hotel and hop in a cab without calling first or making a reservation. If you're staying onsite, ask for a voucher at the Guest Services desk (NOT the reservation/main desk). If they don't have one, go to one of the other resort hotels and ask for one.

GOOD POINT!!!! Yes if you were coming in from another airport like LAX, then your situation will be quite different. I typically fly into SNA and so my tips above would be for SNA (John Wayne). If you were flying into LAX then you would want to consider Super Shuttle, or the Disney Express if you were not renting a car. Cabs even town cars would be stupid expensive. Then when it comes to Long Beach, I have no idea what transportation is offered besides a cab. There maybe a different shuttle company, but I looked into that a long time ago and Super Shuttle was not offered there then.

Long Beach has Super Shuttle, but it costs as much and often more than taking a cab. It's much cheaper from SNA because there is a much higher volume of passengers.

I made a mistake in my post above...the rate I gave for Supershuttle for 2 was ROUND TRIP, not each way. So to compare, a cab would be about $100 RT compared to SuperShuttle at $35 RT (both including tax). That is using the coupon code UYR59 for each person, but even if you just wanted to make 1 reservation instead of 2 you would still save a lot. You'd just be paying $6 more RT.

If you used SS from the airport to the hotel the cost would be $14 plus tip for 2 and the same for the return. Like mystic path, I often prefer to take a cab back to the airport because it's so easy!

I've done both and prefer Disneyland Express from LAX. It's a more comfortable ride for the longer distance. They take everyone to the Disneyland Hotel and collect tickets/fares there. Then you may stay on the same bus or be transferred to a different one to your final destination.

Good to know. I guess my research on Long Beach and Super Shuttle was a fail. Then again its been a very very long time since I looked into it.

My friend and I often fly down to SNA from Sacramento but occasionally, JetBlue has a really good fare and they fly into LGB. However, we discovered that the good fare is generally eaten up by the extra cost to get to DLR from LGB! And you are right, they didn't used to have SS at LGB. They have it now but even though it's almost the same distance to DLR, it's much more expensive than from SNA and they don't have a discount code that I know of. A couple of years ago, JetBlue would have last minute fares of $10 each way! But you really have to be able to just drop everything and go with little notice, so it never worked for me. I got it once (2 seats), and got to the payment page but I couldn't get anyone to go with me so I let it go. At that time they were still offering the occasional $25 fare on SW so it wasn't a big deal. Sure wish they'd do that again now!

Deals like that always seem to be there when you dont need them, and arnt when you do. At least there are other alternatives. It's very hard to just drop everything and go. I wish life gave us more freedom to do that.

Is the Park Vue this?

Parkvue Inn Anaheim
1570 S Harbor Blvd
Anaheim, CA 92802

If so, that's how they have it, just one word, "parkvue".

I'm assuming you're flying into Ontario? That's where I had the nastiest costs with Supershuttle. It was a big hole in my research; I'd looked at the SS prices from LAX and SNA, where it's just a flat fee per person (none of the first passenger, next several passengers thing), and thought it would be the same.

Worse, DH came in separately and left separately, so that was THREE "first passenger" fees instead of just one....UGH. I destroyed every last bit of savings I'd had by flying into Ontario.

I would try to book as many people on each one as possible. That way there are as few first passenger fees as possible.

If you were going into/out of LAX or SNA, you could book however you want to, since they have just the one rate per passenger. But in your situation, that won't be to your advantage.
