I'm a WDW vet (50+ visits) making his first trip to DLR May 4-7. My wife is letting me go solo for a pilgrimage to the original! :)

I'm flying into LAX and not renting a vehicle. Question: For a single rider, which is better Super Shuttle or Disneyland Express/Grayline? It would seem the benefit of DL Express would be a consistent schedule round trip and a direct route.

Suggestions?

It can get crowded on the bus, but it is really convenient (I guess it depends on where you're staying). There is no Disney magic on the bus itself, except for a lot of excited people going to Disneyland :thumbsup2

We have done Super Shuttle shared van and it scared the beejeebers out of me :scared1: I had no seatbelt and kept bouncing out of my seat and almost cracked my head on the window on a particulary bad stretch of road! It's a little scary looking out the window and seeing some cars/trucks that seem to be taped together with duct tape - very scary!

We preferred the DL Express because it was a shorter trip overall as well. The Super Shuttle drives to different areas before bringing you to your destination (especially on your way back to LAX). They give you a p/u time of 2 hours before your two hours before your flight (so FOUR hours before your flight).

Too the Super Shuttle twice last year.

The easiest way to LAX from my house is to take Rosecrans to the 605 and make a left turn onto the 105 on ramp. The driver took the 605 north then I forget the rest but boy was it the long way to the 105 on ramp.

Coming home I stood there and had to explain how to get to Disneyland. I told the passengers to take notes. Go south to the 91 or east to the 5 freeway.

So yeah twice they did not know how to do the route properly. I do love the air time I got on that ride to the airport boy we were in the diamond lane and it was as much fun as Indiana Jones, lol.:lmao:

From LAX I would highly suggest the Gray Line. Its much more direct and like others said your with a bunch of other overly excited people. Makes it just that much more fun of a drive.

Hi gowensby,

My family and I will also use the Disneyland Express/Grayline and this will be our firt time using the Disneyland Express/Grayline. (We usually fly Jet blue and land in Long Beach but this year we are on United threw LAX) When I asked about the trip they said to book it before your trip and that they stop at the disney resort first and pick up from the disney resort last starting and ending with DLH. Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone! It's nice to know that the DLR vets are so helpful. I'm out of my element when dealing with the West Coast and DLR so it's great to have friends on the boards to help.
