Super last minute Universal trip questions..

We're thinking about flying to Orlando mid-week to spend a few days at Universal, but I want to make sure I can switch dates without penalty if weather arises and we can't fly. I'm checking daily to see if any great AP rates pop up at one of the deluxe resorts. If we do need to postpone by a day, can we do so without penalty or do we lose one night's stay? Also, should I just wait until the night before to purchase tickets? It's been about 6 years since we've been there, so I'm a little rusty. Thank you for any helpful tips!

Your hotel is refundable up to 5 days prior, which sounds like that's too far out for your plans.

But yes, definitely you can wait to buy tickets until night before. You can even pick them up at the ticket window at your onsite hotel.

Funny you should ask… I had 3 different confirmation numbers made early 2021 for the family holiday planning . One at Hard Rock and 2 at Cabana Bay.
Forgot to cancel them until after the check in days ! Almost $1000 in deposits. Universal was kind enough to let me rebook them without losing funds… Unbelievable …
So I have spent one night for the last 3 Sunday nights and tomorrow, the final night will be at Hard Rock.
They keep the same confirmation number and the rebooking must be same Resort. They will not transfer deposits to a different Universal Resort.
I really didn’t need to go but wanted to get dates over with and the prices in future are increasing . So I am cutting back on Disney & Universal. And lots of other cutbacks besides theme parks!

We had 2 TVs for Super BoWL Sunday at the Cabana Bay Family Suite pool view ! New tradition Haha !

Thank you. Did you just call the main resort number to see about changing the dates? Hopefully I won't need to change, but it's good to know just in case.
