Are you thinking about Universal??

No im almost certain it is disney! I was reading someones trip report and this is a snippet from that section.

"Being spooked out of Mickey's Toontown Fair (a sort of suburban neighborhood mini-park where you can dig through characters' houses and ****) by the ungodly amount of people who seemed to unanimously decide to run straight into Minnie's stupid candy house like three seconds after we went in, we found this weird, winding path that led right to Tomorrowland. More obscurely placed than outright hidden, I couldn't believe that we were the only two on this huge, sprawling walkway, but I wasn't complaining. Anytime you can grab some personal space in Disney World is welcome. While walking along, I said hello to a random staffer who appeared, oddly, from behind a bush. No good deed goes unrewarded, and my simple "hello" granted us three pairs of Super Fastpasses, that could be used anytime, anywhere in the Magic Kingdom with no time limitations. We held onto these things with the same love and protection one would a winning lottery ticket. When we got over the giddies and finally started redeeming them, the ticket-takers universally made sure no other visitors saw the differences in our passes. No idea what that was all about, but it made me all exclusive and top notch.

I guess the moral is: Say "hello" more often."

From what i read above it seems to me that a park worker granted these poeple these tickets, which can be used anytime, on any ride. If anybody knows anything else about this i would be interested.

I've never heard of them just being handed out like that, but when my wife got stuck on Space Mountain (only for about five minutes) and had to get out of the car and walk off of the ride they gave her a fastpass that was good for up to three people with no time restrictions and could be used on any ride or attraction whether it normally took a FP or not. I've heard of this happening other times when people have been stuck on rides as well. We went to Indy Speedway and told a cast member we wanted to use it and he let us bypass the entire line (approximately 30 minute wait) with no problem at all!

They sound very much to me the sort of fastpasses we were given after we had queued for the second time running for test track and it broke down again, they were like a fast pass but we could come back and use them at anytime for almost front of line entry.

However you could only use them once on one ride, they were not given back to us to use multiple times throughout the day if you know what I mean. :)

don't you get something like this if you find a paintbrush on Tom Sawyer's island? Maybe the tickets are a reward for finding the 'secret path' ?!

Sounds like one of the ones from the year of a million dreams - the golden fast passes which are randomly handed out by cast members!

I think I know what these passes are. As mentioned above it is what is given out by CMs when there has been poor service or they want to give a treat to a guest for some reason.

Although they have no time limit on, and can be used on any ride, they can only be used once if these are what I think they are? I'm not clear if that is the case or not from the post above.

And no, they can't be purchased :teeth:

i have been given fastpasses from a cast member after picking up litter discarded by outher pople and putting it in the bin. That was at california and it was for indiana stunt ride,he had a handfull and was watching people all the time

they are fab all you do is put you park ticket in a machein and you choose a time and wat ride you like then out comes your pass and your park ticket
we used them all the time :hourglass you dont really have to cue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buxton Babe its not about getting a fastpass but getting speciel ones from cast members.Note that you dont have to go back to ride in time frame on ticket ie 11.00 am-12.00am but anytime after 11.00 until park closeing

The closest I have ever come to this was at DLP not WDW, we were first at the rope drop for park opening going to Big Thunder mountain and the CM gave us a fastpass to go on the ride as many times as we want that day and guranteed front seats, with a picture free on the first one, we went on it 11 times that day.

That works with all FASTPASSes; we do it all the time. You can't ride before the allotted time (that's what they check for when they look at your tickets), but you can ride anytime after.
