Super early but...2017 anyone?

We will be in Disney World the first week of October 2016, but were also hoping for October of 2017 as well.

I am aiming for October 2017 as well. We have taken our two boys just before/after their first birthday, and with our third one due in August of 2016, it only makes sense to go sometime in the fall of 2017!

My DD6 asked last night if we can go back to Disney World for her 8th birthday. That'll be in April 2017. Now I want to make it happen. It will depend on when her spring break is though, if it's the week right after Easter I'm not doing that. This year it's the last week in April, so I hope they stick with that timing. We shall see!
Had to scroll back to find my old post! School calendar for next year has been released and spring break is the week before Easter. I don't want to deal with those crowds, plus Easter is one of three times a year we get to see my extended family, so now I'm looking at summer 2017.

We're in school all the way through the end of June, so my earliest option is the week right before 4th of July with (based on history) crowd levels of 7-9. Our other option would be to go the end of August/beginning of Sept, since we never go back to school until the Wed or Thurs after Labor Day. The much lower crowd levels (2-5) plus the lower prices at that time are appealing, but the weather worries me. We went at the end of Sept in 2014 and end of Aug in 2015 and both trips had days that were nearly complete wash outs. Last year was particularly bad. But, the kids will be older (4 & 8) and I'm planning for it to be just the four of us, so we won't be schlepping around in the rain with a toddler and two grandparents in tow. So with some smarter planning it could work. Basically, even though after last year I said I'd never go in August again, I'm talking myself into going in August again.

We will be in Orlando for Wrestlemania and then do 8 nights at WDW from 4/4 - 12/4

Yes!

Trying to decide on the best time of year though - help appreciated!

I was thinking late October/early November. Love to be there for Halloween BUT what about hurricane season?

I'd also push it back into mid/late November but we also want to visit/see New York and DH is freaking out about getting snowed in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I know you can't really predict the weather, but I live in South Louisiana and we rarely see strong hurricanes that late in the year.

When will we be able to book? I went to Disney site and it wouldn't go past December of this year...

Hi, are the same deals or similar offered for Aussies or are we considered crazy for flying over Disneyland to visit Disneyworld? I'm just starting my research/holiday planning and am very excited to learn about all things Disney

Heck no you're not crazy! Don't get me wrong I don't know anything about Disneyland as I've never been but I can understand the love of the World! I MEAN IT"S DISNEY!!!:lovestruc

I don't know about the deals either but I've been to DW a ton of times and if you have any questions feel free to ask me! I love talking about it :teeth: so I'm more than happy to help another traveler make the most of their vacation, especially when you're coming from literally the other side of the world!

Oh that's lovely thank you MrsTurnerLovesDisney :) I hope I don't make you regret that offer but I have a feeling I will have a lot of questions for you lol!!

We're planning on April 24-April 29 of 2017. Contingent upon me earning a free cruise through my second job! If I earn that DH & my airfare will be paid for , so DDs suggested they fly down with the youngest and meet us there.. So the pressure is on to earn the cruise ! I've typically planned past trips myself, but I'm noticing a lot of posters using TAs. Any recommendations? Thx!

I've started referring to it as the Vacation! I'm like you know when we take the vacation or this would be great for the vacation! He loves Disney but I think he tires of my constant chatter lol

I'll be booking the BB when I am there in September for the following September..just like every year :) Next year will probably be a short 4 night trip though. (I say that every year)
