Super Bummed about change of plans..

We had the BOBs all set up to go in Key West on this Sunday, with the instructions to call them this week and finalize a meeting time and location. So I called this morning and they said that they are no longer in Key West! Darn it! That was the excursion I was looking most forward to. I didn't ask him why or where they went so I can't answer that, but for you future Magic Western cruisers, NO MORE BOBs! Sniff. My poor husband said....NOW what are we going to do? I said, "Hello........Margaritaville".

Pardon my ignorance but what in the world is a BOBS? We are going on the Western in Oct and tho I've been on this board for about a month I'm not familiar with BOBS.

I didn't know what BOBs are (or were) either.

After a few minutes on Google, I learned that a BOB is a "Breathing Observation Bubble," an underwater motorized scooter.

BOB stands for "Breathing Observation Bubble" and they are like underwater motorscooters that you drive about 10-15 feet deep at about 3 mph. They look sooooo cool. They have a glas bubble helmet connected right onto the scooter that has air pumped into it so you just drive around like you are on land. No scuba or anything necessary. Maybe next time I am there I can try it.

Has anyone here ever done the BOB's before? I am not afraid of much but these scare me for some reason. I just feel like I would be trapped under water and not able to breathe. Obviously that's not true but I don't think I could ever bring myself to try them.

Sorry to hear about that. We had looked into doing that also. We are considering checking out parasailing...and then Margaritaville of course. I think it will probably be pretty crazy in Key West on Spring Break...

The dress is done and I am happy with it. It's simple, cool & Comfy, very packable,and a bit shiny! That's all I'm going to say about it.

Still haven't packed, but another thing done tonight. Now, I've got a 3 hour class tomorrow night, then pretty much vacation mode from there on out!
