We decided to make a quick trip down next weekend so see the Main Street Electrical parade on Saturday night and we will spend Sunday in the park. I just realized its Super Bowl Sunday. Will the crowds be less? What do you think!

It's actually quite busy these days. Past touring plans show about 8 or 9 days. I'll be there, too!

It's become one of the busiest days of the year outside the week between Christmas and New Years. Sundays are always busy, especially in the afternoon. Super Bowl Sunday is one of the busiest Sundays.

I was there last weekend and found it busy but not unbearable. I spent Sunday at DL and Monday at CA. Because the Super Bowl was played on the West Coast last year, the parade was in Disneyland on Monday (which was extremely busy from everyone who talked to me) but this year the event should be in Disney World since the game is in Texas. I would suggest that you will experience typical Sunday traffic, which is busy.

I'll be there too! Should be interesting to see what the crowds are like. I'm curious about people who have actually been on Super Bowl Sunday.

I've been in DL the last two Super Bowl Sundays by coincidence, and it has been very crowded. I think everyone thinks it will be empty so they go that day.

Well I don't believe that to be true. If you look at past Superbowls, here's what it shows:

2013: DL 6 DCA 7
2014: DL 9 DCA 5
2015: DL 7 DCA 7
2016: DL 9 DCA 9

(It should also be mentioned that last year was during the 60th celebration which brought in insane crowds all year!). And that the Superbowl was on the West Coast last year. While I have no doubt that Superbowl can be busy - there are plenty of "10s" all throughout the year, so I'm not sure it can be compared to the madness that is Christmas break.

What does TP say for the days prior to SB Sunday? I esp. want to know about Feb. 2nd-4th? I will be there same time as you!

Typical stuff. The Saturdays before have ranged from 7-10s at DL and 5-8s for DCA. Days before that are typically about 4-6s. Seems like most Saturdays throughout the year are 10s. I think what makes the most difference is the weather. Disneyland is such a heavily visited "locals" park - that day to day weather conditions play a huge role in the crowds. Honestly, that's what makes me most nervous about next weekend. Originally there was a decent chance of rain on Friday but that's gone down to 10% chance. And the rest of the weekend is high 60's, low 70's. I think that if the sun is shining, we'll see large crowds. The bottom line is that if you know how to utilize fast passes and get there early in the day, you can still have a great time. I've been there on "10" days and the most frustrating thing is just the lack of walking space! Plan on having sit down reservations in the afternoon or take breaks and it'll be fine!

We were there in 2013 on Super Bowl Sunday and it was very light. But the Seattle Seahawks were playing for the first time in ages and since they are a west coast team I think that affected the crowds. We are from Seattle and are really only fair weather fans and even we considered cancelling our long-planned trip - due to the Seahawks playing.

Exactly. I was there for last year's SB. I think people try to game the system and go when crowds will be low. I abandoned this strategy long ago because it almost never works*. In short, expect crowds to to be at least at normal levels and almost certainly higher.

*Unless the weather is unusually bad, like it was last Sunday.
