Where can we watch the Superbowl and have snacks or dinner besides our room? It would need to be a kid-friendly place because we will have our 8 year old son with us. Actually the Super Bowl is on his 8th Birthday!!

Surely at the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk. Might be crowded, though. And IIRC they don't take ADRs. Check the menu over on allears.net.

I agree, but it may become pretty rowdy, it is after all a sports bar. I don't think I would take my 8 year old here on Super Bowl Sunday

There is also the ESPN Cafe at WWS. I think they have TVs.

What is WWS? World Showcase in Epcot? I can't find any info on the Cafe.

I would be afraid of the ESPN Club for Super Bowl. Might get a little crazy in there that night.

WWS = Wide World of Sports

1) You can also arrive EARLY at a Deluxe Hotel bar.
2) Most allow you to order more than snacks.
3) They should have the game on (but, not a big screen).
4) My favorite would e Territory Lounge at WL.
5) But, get there 2-3 hour early.

It's been at least 5 years since I've been to Disney during the Super Bowl BUT All-Star Movies showed the Superbowl in their food court on the big screen TV they have. Call the hotel you are staying and ask them if they are doing anything special. I will say room service pizza is terrible! I'd order from somewhere else if you are going to watch it in your room.

Great suggestion! Thanks, I will call them and ask.

We were in WDW for the Super Bowl one year. We ate at the bar in Bongo but everyplace that had a tv had it on. One thing to remember about the Super Bowl is the start time. The game was an hour off of our regular Super Bowl time since we were in a different time zone. After a long day in the parks, I'm not sure if my DH even saw the end of the game.

Have fun!

We ate at ESPN Club on a Sunday during September in order to watch football. It was very much a family friendly atmosphere with kids everywhere. With a kid, I would sit on the dining room side rather than the bar side but there were certainly kids on both sides.

We looked into this as an alternative to ESPN Club and I was told that this is a QS location that happens to have TVs around. I was also told it's only open if something is going on at Wide World of Sports. It was also hard to get to since there are no buses there from where we were staying (POR).

I would guess all lounges that have TVs would have one or more TVs on the Super Bowl that night. It is after all the most watched sporting event of the year. The lounge at POR showed a Monday Night Football when we were there in September, and a few years back at the Poly lounge we watched March Madness basketball so I'm sure the Super Bowl would definitely be found in those few spots, among others.

Not that it's particularly relevant information, but since we will be at the Wilderness Lodge during the Superbowl, I just called the hotel and asked if they had anything going on out of the ordinary for the game. She said that, aside from maybe a TV or two in the small Territory Lounge (no guarantee), she was not aware of any special broadcast plans.

We plan on eating at CP around 5ish and watching in the room with inlaws. Now if the Cowboys or Texans (or both :scared1: ) make it in then I'll absent from the premises and at BW3 or BJ's or something.

FWIW, when you think you're calling the hotel, you're actually calling a central call center which is possibly in another state. I doubt the call center would have that info, as they often are lacking info or have inaccurate info. I would ask the front desk or concierge this question when you get there.

We were in WDW for the Superbowl in 2009. We were staying at Pop but we love POFQ. We went over the the Scat Cat club there - right off the lobby. They had the game on (on a few tv's). We were able to order drinks and snacks there and you can also go to the food court there and pick up something. There was a nice size crowd - not too rowdy. We had a great time.

We had walked by the ESPN Club ealier in the day. They had a tv set up outside and chairs. It was early so I do not know how crowded it got but it was kind of a misty cold day and we did not want to sit outside and watch the game.
