Stayed about 4 years ago and really enjoyed our time there. Who has stayed there lately and how is the condition of rooms and pool area? Thanks

Cypress Pointe Resort (aka Phase 1) has had ongoing improvements since 2002. A short list:

2002 - Signature Volcano Pool area gets all new deck area with custom pavers, new pool surfaces and pool slides
2003 - Clubhouse Game room gets makeover with new games, owners lounge area and free ping pong
2004 - Exercise room updated and new equipment installed; Second floor Clubhouse balcony get new tile flooring, outdoor tables and seating overlooking Volcano pool
2004-2006 - Every unit (168) at the resort gutted and renovated with all new furnishings, appliances, entertainment equipment, carpet and soft goods.
2006-2007 - New Maintenance/Laundry/Housekeeping Building constructed; New landscaping; All Buildings have new roofing installed; All buildings get exterior painting (now underway); Clubhouse Lobby renovated in Carribean theme
Now Underway - New recreation/picnic area across from Clubhouse featuring tennis, 1/2 Basketball and shuffleboard courts. Picnic area with gazebo, gas grills. New Gift Shop, new Cafe Pointe featuring Starbucks Coffee opening late 2007 - early 2008.

There have also been changes at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (aka Phase 2) - the two resorts share common areas. If you liked it 4 years ago I'll bet you'll like it even better now.

We stayed in 3 bedroom in Phase I last month thru Skyauction and LOVED it!!!!! Everything was just perfect. We moved over to Grand Beach for a week after a week at Cypress Pointe and our kids were a little disappointed. Grand Beach was very nice but Cypress Pointe definitely has an edge with activities for kids and overall appeal for the kids. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We have stayed twice and we love it. The resort itself is excellent and the location is fabulous.

Stayed in CPGV 2 bed end of August, the place is just amazing value for money, booked through Hotelkingdom, $100 a night, definately going back! :thumbsup2
