Sunterra and Embassy

Can anyone offer an opinion on either Sunterras Cypress Pointe Grand Villa's or Embassy Vacation Resort Grand Beach? I am putting together a trip for 3 adults, 3 children and would like to stay off-site. With that many people we would like someplace with at least 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Both places cost less than $200 a night so they would be in our budget, but I am wondering in it is a case of you get wha you pay for. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

We stayed at the Embassy last October. It's a very nice resort in a great location. I believe most of the units are 3br. There was a large master suite on each end. There were only five of us, so DS17 had one of the two all to himself. It spoiled him, for sure. The third bedroom was quite small with two twin beds. I thought the kitchen/dining/living area was a bit cramped, but nothing really to complain about. We had a very nice balcony and watched hot air balloons fly by a couple of mornings.

I've also heard very nice things about the Cypress Point Grand Villas. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

we too have stayed at Embassy.. we love it there (stayed there 3 or 4 times!)

It doesnt really have any facilities or restaurants... but we never use those types of things anyway on vacation.. plus you are so close to everything.

The staff were always v friendly and soon got to know my sons name and encouraged him to join in with group activities etc. When we went 9 months later, one of the ents staff said.. hey youve been here before buddy.. its Theo isnt it?! - I was seriously impressed!!

Its a pretty resort overlooking the beach.. and the three bedrooms 3 baths are really good... its one of the largest rooms we have ever had.
slightly in need of a refurb.. but clean and tidy..
